Despite missing the Red Dress Run for earlier in the day because of work, I had a wonderful time at Dirty Linen Night on Royal Street. But there were plenty of Red Dress remnants that continued to party, making for a fantastic evening. Royal Street's galleries and shops provided an ideal backdrop for a night out, complete with cocktails and friends. The evening's finale featured the talented Vanessa Carr Kennedy at the Golden Lantern Bar, rounding out a great night. 8/9/25

Festively Gay Things To Do Daily Spotlight: Come see some REAL New Orleans Culture during Dirty Linen Night while walking the streets of the French Quarter experiencing all of the art, food and drinks that this city has to offer. This year Dirty Linen Night celebrates its 22nd year on Royal Street. The Royal Street Arts District plans and executes Dirty Linen Night each year with the galleries and shops playing host to visitors and locals that want a dash of art, a taste of good food, and some cocktails. Born as a satirical play on White Linen Night, DLN invites participants to relish in everything dirty, and is the one event that celebrates the not so pristine side of the French Quarter. Galleries and shops along Royal Street open their doors and play host to visitors as musicians line the streets and the party feels never ending.
The event has grown to include some galleries and shops off of Royal Street and has expanded from the 300 block of Royal to 1100 block. It was quite the pizza party at Louisiana Pizza Kitchen Uptown (LPK - Uptown). The Krewe of Armeinius hosted a fundraiser for the Krewe where guests who had lunch dinner or takeout at the restaurant wrote “Armeinius” on their bill and a portion of the tab helps fund the glitter, glam, and gowns of the legendary Krewe. I stopped by at dinner with friends and it was a great crowd, enjoying the fabulous food at this wonderful restaurant. Thanks to owner Rob Gerhart and his staff for all they do for the Community. 8/5/25
