Festively Gay Things To Do Daily Spotlight: Get ready for Sage: A Sexy Storytelling Event at Bar Redux on Sunday, September 21, 2025 starting at 9 pm. Four burlesque performers are using details from four storytellers to create unique, inspired performances. The catch? The burlesque performers do not know the storytellers they have been paired with, and storytellers do not know the burlesque performers they’ve been paired with. They all find out, along with the audience, the night of the show.
The Theme is SAGE.
$10 at the door. All monies collected will benefit For The Love Of & NOAGE - New Orleans Advocates for LGBTQ Elders.

On Saturday night, the Golden Lantern Bar was bustling with activity, highlighted by a show featuring Vanessa Carr Kennedy, who was joined by several friends in the audience. Vanessa's musical set list, which included sing-alongs and dance music, was well-received by the audience. The subsequent event, Drag Me To The Lantern, represented the bar's new drag show, introducing fresh talent that I had not previously seen. Given its rich history as a gay bar, I highly recommend visiting the Golden Lantern on Saturday nights. 9/20/25

I was invited to the opening party of Delacroix, the newest addition to the culinary scene near Spanish Plaza, operated by BRG Hospitality, with its official opening set for September 22, 2025. The event was truly fabulous, offering an array of culinary delights and signature cocktails amidst a festive atmosphere, complemented by breathtaking views of the Mississippi. The guests had the opportunity to sample various dishes from the menu, among which the duck popper hand pies and Cajun pistolettes were particularly enjoyable. Chef John Besh was in attendance, greeting guests warmly. The event staff were highly professional, and Amanda Shaw's performance added a touch of elegance to the evening. Black Tie Club New Orleans Gulf Coast launched its inaugural event at Rizzuto's Prime restaurant in the Hyatt hotel. Members from across the Gulf Coast region came together to enjoy a four-course meal. The dinner was excellent, accompanied by superb wine pairings. As the first in a series of unique events, this dinner marked a successful beginning for the organization. Congratulations to BTC on a job well done. 9/19/25
