Do no harm.

I’m honestly not sure if I followed this tenant last night as I railed against the LDEQ for its negligence on permitting CP2, fast laned without cumulative impact studies and without consideration of the 2000+ permit violations Venture Global CP1 has racked up in the past few years.

I’m angry. I’m angry at laziness, cowardice, and apathy. I am so deeply sad about short sighted decisions with long term impacts.

We must achieve a just transition.

I will continue to bring my grief to the higher powers.

Our Lady Star of the Sea guards Louisiana from the evils happening with Cameron extraction and buildout, directly holding her arm up to halt the impacts of the massive construction that is decimating communities and livelihoods.

Erected long before the whispers of Venture Global, and holding power long after it leaves.

Blessings to the one who cared enough to plant this wildflower garden for her, where there was once an empty fountain. You’re the realest.

Thank you for leading the way down the path. This matters.

That’s a wrap on from . We spent Friday afternoon learning about the Abbeville red iris and the Prothonotary Warbler, native to the Palmetto Island Swamp. Love each opportunity to learn about Louisiana’s coast and culture, as well as birds and flowers. My game is getting so strong now! I cannot recommend enough ’s guided tours through Louisiana’s coastal towns and habitats.

The community showed up last night!
🐚 Came out for the Ideas Lab to discuss climate migration, keeping in mind in Cameron who have lost home and culture to industrial build-out.

Shameless selfies for coastal day at the Capitol.

I went in versing with Hope, and honestly felt discouraged by what I met. People afraid to speak nervous to say the truth of their experience for fear they will be cut off.

Telling my work to someone and them saying,” oh wow, you’re actually doing work.”

Being told my ideas for just transition are not palatable because they recognize injury and harm.

We can’t heal the systems until we can speak the truth of what is happening

Louisiana, I love you, we’ve got work to do, and we have to be really honest about what the work is and why we need to do it.

A Louisiana Christmas Story: ⁉️
A Tale as Old as Industry.❌
Christmas Eve, we look over the horizon to see massive amounts of emissions. On a day no regulator would be watching, over an unsuspecting town and cross state travelers, a dark and dense cloud hovers close to the ground with one source. Somewhere between DuPont or Denka, two facilities exempt from EPA Pollution Guidelines under the Trump Administration, an ominous cloud billows. No warning. No explanation. What is it?
