It is an outlet to inform prospective and current students, alumni, family, and friends of relevant news, challenges, opportunities, and achievements surrounding Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The Buzz covers a variance of news from the pers

pective of current HBCU students and recent alumni working in the African American community. The Buzz hosts and promotes events and campaigns to reinforce the mission of unifying the students in the HBCU community across 19 states and in the District of Columbia. The Buzz is committed to promoting HBCU pride and unity in order to enhance the black college experience. The Buzz leadership consists of mostly recent HBCU graduates from diverse educational backgrounds within the HBCU Community.

Morgan State students just won big in tech. 🐻🔥 @

Team HAX Lab took first place in the 2026 PROPEL Center Future of Tech Innovation Challenge with SocialSense AI, a privacy-first app designed to help students manage social anxiety and build stronger communication skills.

The team earned the $35,000 grand prize after competing against HBCU students from across the country.
