Rooted in Cajun Country, I find it amazing that someone thinks that he can unilaterally use the stroke of a pen to overrule the 14th Amendment on Birth Right Citenzenship. The Supreme Court is hearing arguments today from the Administration to destroy the Constitution. The 14th Amendment in 1868 embedded Birth Right Citizenship into the Constitution. Cincinnati Kid is a good movie set in 1930's New Orleans which I saw several times. I enjoyed the poker games and the scenery; it was an excellent gambling movie. Among the stars were Steve McQueen as the Cincinnati Kid and Ann-Margret as a bad girl.

About today's news: Here is a great president who used his father's influence to get into the military. This is unlike the current president who is a chicken hawk, and who sends everyone else's sons and daughters in to die for their country.

In the wee hrs last week on TCM, I watched THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN. To me, she was sexy as hell; however I would change her hairstyle. If da monster of Frankenstein does not want her, slide her over here to me. The movie was made in the 1930's, but Turner Classic Movies refurbished it very well. Great job!

I was in the hospital last year. Before they put me under, the nurses asked me what kind of accent I have. As I slipped under, I heard a male nurse tell them that my accent is Cajun. This weekend I put my money down on Tulane (on Saturday) and the Saints (on Sunday).Tulane is a 17.5 point underdog. Whoa!! I will take those odds. I am believing in Tulane's Jake the Snake. So, here is a toast to 's QB.

Last year's Sugar Bowl was postponed from New Year's Day to January 2, 2025, due to the tragic terror attack in New Orleans, but the 2026 Sugar Bowl is scheduled to again return to its traditional New Year's Day spot on January 1, 2026, at the Caesars Superdome as a CFP Quarterfinal, with the Georgia Bulldogs vs. "team to be determined."
