It’s one week in to Dry January and life is throwing us curve balls. But sobriety is about coping with whatever life throws us with a clear head.

Join us for our first meeting of the year at Monkey Board in the CBD. They have offered to make us some signature mocktails and you are welcome to bring your sober-ally friends to enjoy the cocktail menu as well.

The Next Sober Life is about bringing people together to respect each others’ choices... not dividing us between sober and non-sober.

Alright y’all. The six-week challenge is here and now! The past few months have shown how much we depend on our consumer culture. Many of us have had to change our routine, but maybe over-consumption has gotten the best of us. Over-consumption of unhealthy foods, over-consumption of substance, over-consumption of media and social-media have made this time of isolation toxic. The opposite of consuming is creating.... so that’s what we’re going to do. Create and achieve goals, create a more wholesome community through acts of service. Create a better life for ourselves, even during this time of illness and unrest.

For the next six weeks, let’s give our lives a makeover. Let’s focus on creating things that benefit us and cut out the rest.

On my way out Arnold rolled by me on his bike to heckle his 89 y/o training buddy about why he’s been skipping the gym 😂 Training doesn’t end no matter how old you are. 🏋️💪🏽👊🏽 @ Gold's Gym

This is tangible evidence of what motivation and consistency can bring. There are other tangible results to consistency, for example financial success. But the greatest result is not tangible... that’s the positive effect that personal success has on your mind. PRIDE. There’s no other drug like it. Are you proud of yourself?
