🕊️ In Loving Memory of Giovanny Carbajal 🕊️
October 1, 1964 – July 15, 2025

Our community mourns the loss of a beloved voice and respected journalist. Giovanny Carbajal — affectionately known as El Príncipe — was the heart behind La Calle 97.9 FM, where he uplifted countless voices, supported local businesses, and brought our stories to the airwaves with pride and passion.

For decades, Giovanny informed, entertained, and inspired. As host of Mundo Deportivo and a trusted figure in Spanish-language media, his legacy in New Orleans will not be forgotten.

His passing leaves a profound void not only in the media world, but also in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his devoted wife Amanda, whose strength and support were constants behind the scenes. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with her, their daughters, and the entire Carbajal family.
