So...I have a mailbox at a local UPS for business stuff and I go in probably once a month to check and see what nonsense whatever NOLA gov agency has sent me that I need to waste time resolving (that's a whole other post...) - well I go in and the place has been gutted and there's no mailboxes 😳 so I'm like, 'where are the mailboxes?' and the guy at the counter goes 'they're gone' - that's it, no further explanation, just 'gone'. I start to panic as this address is used on soooooo many things that there is no way I can spend my entire day figuring out how to deal with that so with building wtf in my voice I say 'what do you mean gone and how do you not tell anyone??' This guy just keeps caring less and less about my mailbox being 'gone' and I am getting more and more panicked so after he finally explains it's just temporary and they'll be back 'in a few days' I ask for the manager. By the way, I can see her sitting at her desk since there are no more walls up in this place as it has been gutted. He walks over to her and tells her I want to talk to her. She tells him NO and he comes back and tells me he's going to CLOSE my mailbox account. Y'all as stated, this mailbox address is on sooooo many things and closing it would be even worse than it disappearing for however long this was. So, now I'm even more freaked out and I'm like 'Do NOT close my account, she needs to come over here and talk to me'. At this point she knows I can see her and she comes over. I'm like ' how do you not tell people what is going on, etc'. Turns out they do send out emails but for some reason they could not figure out, the emails were not making it to me (no they were not in spam). It got sorted the next day but Oooh NOLA

Here's an oooh NOLA for you...
I go to CVS to pick up a RX and I bring it home to find out they gave me expired medication so I call them and tell them. They tell me to come back and they'll give me a unexpired one. So, I go all the way back and they give me the new RX and I'm like 'are you certain its not expired' so the pharmacist opens the bag and is like 'um...it's not expired but it's the wrong medicine'. He checks and they don't have the correct medication so he gives me a $5 coupon and tells me to go to another CVS across town. I drive to the other CVS and they don't have it ready, it will be AN HOUR. So, I give up in frustration and go home. I go back the next day to pick up my RX with the coupon and guess what...you guessed it, of course the coupon doesn't work, but on this 4th trip to CVS I did finally get my proper, unexpired medication. Oooh NOLA 💜💚💛
