Oooh NOLA

Oooh NOLA I often find myself saying oooh NOLA living in this always beautiful but often frustrating city.

Us transplants come here with this romantic idea that if we find gainful employment and the stars align with a suitable place to live then NOLA 'chose' us - but we soon realize it is hard living here and sometimes you just have to laugh and say 'oooh NOLA' because she's not changing for anyone! The point of this page is to capture those oooh NOLA stories and share them for a laugh since we are all in it together.

Here's an oooh NOLA for you...
I go to CVS to pick up a RX and I bring it home to find out they gave me expired medication so I call them and tell them. They tell me to come back and they'll give me a unexpired one. So, I go all the way back and they give me the new RX and I'm like 'are you certain its not expired' so the pharmacist opens the bag and is like 'um...it's not expired but it's the wrong medicine'. He checks and they don't have the correct medication so he gives me a $5 coupon and tells me to go to another CVS across town. I drive to the other CVS and they don't have it ready, it will be AN HOUR. So, I give up in frustration and go home. I go back the next day to pick up my RX with the coupon and guess what...you guessed it, of course the coupon doesn't work, but on this 4th trip to CVS I did finally get my proper, unexpired medication. Oooh NOLA 💜💚💛
