Thank you everyone who came to our sold out premiere of The Nature of Nature, what an incredible night! It was so special to see it on the big screen at Rosendale Theatre, with such a great audience and panel of the biologists and conservations profiled in the film. Thank you to my partner on this the incredible Laura Heady, the Hudson River estuary program, Jen Metzger for coming and introducing the film, the film production team, photographers and friends from the NYSDEC who came out en force, and everyone who supports biodiversity and loves nature in the Hudson valley. We are excited to release the trailer of The Nature of Nature: Biodiversity in the Hudson Valley! This film celebrates the remarkable plants, animals, and habitats in the Hudson River estuary watershed, guided by the biologists and conservationists who know it best.

The full film will premiere November 20th at the Rosendale Theatre - please come join us! We recently visited The Stanley Hotel — the iconic site where Stephen King was inspired to write The Shining, right from the balcony in our photo (Room 217, not 237!). 👻

Beyond its eerie legacy, we couldn’t help but notice that the Stanley Film Festival’s logo looks strikingly like our own logo, just rotated. While we’re in the process of updating our branding, the parallel felt like a perfect, if slightly haunted, coincidence.

Some places just leave a mark — on film and beyond. 🎬

We are proud to have finished editing "The Nature of Nature," our film made in collaboration with Laura Heady of the Hudson River Estuary Program and Cornell University, which celebrates the biodiversity, or variety of life, in the unique Hudson River Estuary. The Hudson Valley is only 13% of New York State, but 85% of the state's animal, insect, fish and bird species can be found right here. Biodiversity provides us clean air, water, healthy soil - basically everything we humans need to survive, and whether or not we understand those connections, protecting one means protecting all. Coming to film festivals and theaters this fall! Thanks to photographer Fred McCagg and Naoko Saito for this title sequence. Directed by Laura deNey (), produced by Laura Heady 🌾🦦🎥
