Election season is an opportunity for residents to learn about the people seeking to represent them and the issues that matter to our community. As part of TAPinto Mountainside's election coverage, we sat down with each Borough Council candidate to discuss their background, what inspired them to run, and what they hope to accomplish if elected. Over the next four days, we will be sharing four candidate profiles to help residents get to know the individuals seeking local municipal office. Today's candidate spotlight: Robert Barletta — husband, father of two, youth soccer coach, and communications professional. Click on the link to read his story:

🚑 Mountainside Rescue Squad opened its doors last week — and gave the community a meaningful look at the people behind the ambulance. From ambulance tours and first aid demonstrations to games, music, food and conversations with squad members, the Open House showcased the training, teamwork and heart behind this all-volunteer team. The outreach helps neighbors get to know the people who may one day arrive in a moment of need — so if an emergency ever happens, the face at the door may already feel familiar.
