If you’re heading to New Smyrna Beach, take a 5 minute jaunt off the beaten path to visit one of Florida’s historic sugar mills.

This historic place makes our list because it only lasted 5 years as a sugar mill before it was destroyed by the Seminole Indians. To think it has lasted nearly 200 years since is unimaginable.
