A close-up perspective image showing part of a person's heel and lower leg skin. Another individual, wearing pink medical gloves, is using a scalpel to carefully remove thick layers of dry skin from the heel.

The hardened skin on the heel appears thick and dirty, with pieces of dead, peeled skin accumulating along the blade of the scalpel. The area where the dry layer has been removed reveals slightly dirty but smoother, softer skin with a more natural tone, suggesting that the process is exposing newer, healthier skin beneath the old layer.

A dark tattoo is visible on the upper part of the leg, just behind the heel. The lighting is bright, highlighting the fine details of the procedure.
