FIFA asked Haiti to change his kit because they said the original design broke their rules against political messages or imagery on team uniforms.

The jersey had a historical image connected to the Battle of Vertières (1803), the battle that helped Haiti gain independence, with symbols of the Haitian Revolution. FIFA viewed the imagery as something that could be interpreted as political/war-related.

Haiti and the kit maker said it was meant as a tribute to Haitian history, pride, and resilience, not a political statement.
