Canada just hit back at GM and Stellantis — slashing their tariff-free import limits after both walked away from major promises to Canadian workers.

Stellantis bailed on building the Jeep Compass in Brampton and moved it to Illinois. GM shut down its BrightDrop EV van line in Ontario. Both had deals tied to Canadian jobs — and they broke them.

Now, Stellantis loses 50% of its duty-free access. GM gets cut by 24.2%. Ottawa’s message is clear: if you take the incentives, you’d better keep your word. Canadians are fed up! 🇨🇦
