My Company commander in Vietnam in 1966 Captain Ora Lee Boss A co 1stBn 14th Infantry Golden Dragons of the 25th Infantry Division. He was in command when our company was under attack by about 1500 soldiers of the North Vietnamese army on November 13th 1966. Àbout 150 of our unit repelled human wave attacks from the enemy. Captain Boss had to call in artillery and air strikes nearly on top of our own defensive perimeter. We lost a lot of our own soldiers in our unit but we did repell and destroy a lot of the NVA. This battle was documented in the November issue 1966 of the stars and stripes publication Alpa Army Repells Human wave attack in the Iah Drang Valley near the Cambodian border. Captain Boss survived the war and returned home to Texas where he entered the Ministry. He passed away several years ago. Rest in peace Sir 🙏
