If you’re looking for a true farm-to-table experience in Chicago, put on your list.
By day, it’s a bright café serving coffee, matcha, and pastries from James Beard semifinalist Leigh Omilinsky (her croissants alone are worth the trip). By night, it becomes a vegetable-focused, pasta-driven restaurant led by Executive Chef Joe Frillman, who works directly with ethical farms to source fresh, sustainably grown ingredients.
Because of that connection, the menu changes constantly—think benedicts, gravlax with latke, and handmade pastas that highlight whatever produce is at its seasonal peak.
The space itself is beautiful and naturally lit, perfect for a coffee date, a boozy brunch, or dinner with friends.
Daisies is one of those rare spots that balances community, sustainability, and flavor in a way that feels distinctly Chicago.
