When I saw this, I had to stop for a minute.

Priscilla Williams-Till, cousin of Emmett Till, is running for GOVERNOR of MISSISSIPPI! ✊🏾

Let the significance of that sink in.

Emmett Till was only 14 years old when he was brutally murdered in Mississippi in 1955. His death—and the courage of his mother, Mamie Till-Mobley, who refused to allow the world to look away—became a defining moment in the Civil Rights Movement.

And now, more than 70 years later, a member of the Till family is stepping forward seeking to lead the very state where Emmett’s life was taken.

HISTORY. FULL CIRCLE. GENERATIONS. LEGACY.

Whatever your politics may be, there is no denying the historical significance of this moment.
