šØ HE CALLED HIS GRANDMOTHER AND SAID, āIāVE BEEN LACED.ā HOURS LATER, A HOSPITAL DISCHARGED HIM TO A CLOSED BUS STATION. THEN THIS 19-YEAR-OLD BLACK MAN VANISHED WITHOUT A TRACE. šØ
Read that again.
TāMontez Hurt was asking for help before he disappeared.
On February 1, 2024, TāMontez called his grandmother, Tecona Sullivan, from Kansas City. She immediately knew something wasnāt right.
He didnāt sound like himself.
Then he told her:
āIāve been laced.ā
His grandmother was hours away in St. Louis, but she immediately contacted St. Lukeās Hospital and pleaded for someone to check on her grandson.
TāMontez was taken to the hospital and evaluated for several hours.
His grandmother reportedly BEGGED for him to be kept longer.
But he was discharged.
Then came the decision his family will probably question forever.
TāMontez was placed in a taxi and taken to the Greyhound station at 1101 Troost Avenue.
THE STATION WAS CLOSED AND LOCKED.
Surveillance footage captured the 19-year-old being dropped off and eventually walking away ALONEā¦ WITHOUT HIS PHONE.
And then?
NOTHING.
No phone calls.
No messages.
No confirmed sightings.
TāMontez Hurt simply vanished.
And Iām sorry, but there are questions that NEED answers.
Why was a 19-year-old who reportedly said he had been ālacedā released?
Why was he dropped at a CLOSED bus station?
Where was his phone?
Who was the last person to see him after he walked away?
And most importantlyā¦
šØ WHAT HAPPENED TO TāMONTEZ HURT?
His grandmother tried to protect him from miles away. She made the call. She got him help. She begged for him to remain somewhere safe.
She did what she thought would bring her grandson home.
Instead, more than two years later, she is still waiting for him to walk through the door. š
TāMontez was 19 years old.
He mattered then.
