MY MOTHER-IN-LAW CUT MY DAUGHTER'S LONG HAIR AFTER SHE HAD KEPT IT LONG SINCE HER BIRTH. I DECIDED I HAD TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
My MIL hated my daughter's long hair and constantly wanted to cut it. I didn't allow it because Lily really loved it and I found it special. I knew we would eventually have to do something about it, but at least wait so we could decide together. Yesterday, I came home from a business trip and went to pick up my daughter at school. She rushed to me in tears, holding up the thick, long locks of her hair that had been chopped off, yelling, "She stood behind me, did a braid, and then cut it. Mom, I'm ugly now!!!"
I was heartbroken because of my baby's tears. And MAD AS HELL.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO IN MY PLACE? Was I right to react the way I did? This was the breaking point for me. I went to Jack (my husband) and told him what happened. He was already disappointed and didn’t know how to proceed without me.
So I suggested giving his mother a lesson she would remember forever. The very next day we decided to... ⬇
