Can you believe that Rosh Hashanah is almost here?!? 🍎🍯 One of our favorite ways to welcome the new Jewish year is by stocking up on some cute new items — while supporting our favorite Jewish-owned businesses at the same time ✡️

As we get ready to launch our annual GOLDA High Holidays Shopping Guide, we invited the women behind three Jewish businesses we love — Challah Back Girls®, Elisa Solomon Kaplicer, and Feldi Studios | Handmade Aesthetic Judaica — onto the latest episode of the GOLDA Girls podcast 🎙️

Spoiler alert 🚨 You can expect to see all three among the Jewish brands and makers handpicked by our GOLDA team for this year’s guide 🎉

They joined GOLDA founder Stephanie Butnick on the pod to talk about what it’s like to run an independent business today, the care that goes into creating their products, and why choosing handmade pieces from Jewish makers can mean so much more than buying mass-produced alternatives 💎

If you haven’t already, subscribe to the GOLDA newsletter to be among the first to shop our High Holidays guide, featuring special discounts from these Jewish brands and makers — plus many more we’re so excited for you to discover and support 🛍️

Since we started the GOLDA Girls podcast, there’s one segment our listeners bring up more than any other: “Good for the Jews” 💙

Every week, people tell our co-hosts it’s the thing they look forward to most—and honestly, we do too. We love ending each episode by celebrating something that reminded us why we love being Jewish.

And this week’s “Good for the Jews” might be one of our favorites yet… 🤠

Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” has become the song of the summer, but did you know it might also be good for the Jews?

A few days ago, our friend Liz Rose pointed out that people are confusing Ella’s lyric, “He’s choosin’ Texas, I can tell,” with “There’s Jews in Texas, I can tell.” ✡️

As it turns out, the Jews have been “Choosin’ Texas” too. Israeli band Jane Bordeaux recently recorded a cover of the hit song in a special live studio session for glglz גלגלצ, giving it a Hebrew twist that completely blew our minds 🤯

The full episode drops Friday morning, so make sure to subscribe to GOLDA Girls on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts 🎧 As always, follow GOLDA for more Jewish inspiration ✨

The latest episode of GOLDA Girls is out now 🎧 And you won’t want to miss this one ➡️

This week, the GOLDA Girls co-hosts are diving into the controversy that sparked passionate responses from the fashion world, Jewish community, and beyond 💬

When news broke that John Galliano would be honored at the next Met Gala, we knew exactly who to call: Rabbi Arielle Stein 👠

Rabbi Arielle is both a dear friend of GOLDA and someone who lives at the intersection of Judaism and fashion. She’s been featured in Vogue, was the face of Susan Alexandra’s holiday campaign, and co-curates the delightfully fun rabbinicfitcheck account. In other words, she’s the perfect person to help us unpack one of the week’s biggest conversations.

Together, we explore the Jewish concept of “teshuvah,” or repentance, and what it means to truly make amends—and what happens when those questions collide with one of the world’s most iconic cultural stages… er… staircases?

The full conversation is out now, so be sure to listen and subscribe to GOLDA Girls on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts 🎧 As always, follow us here at GOLDA for more Jewish perspectives and inspiration ✨

For Nu Reads subscribers and members of Good Morning America’s Book Club community, the book of the summer is Portia Elan’s “Homebound,” a captivating fantasy adventure about human connectedness that spans centuries and continents. But “Homebound” is more than just a wildly imaginative sci-fi story 🚀

At its core is a deeply human tale rooted in Jewish themes. We sat down with author Portia Elan (Portia) on our GOLDA Girls podcast to explore the Jewish soul of “Homebound” and the Jewish books that inspired her while writing her debut novel 📖

If you haven’t yet stepped into the world of “Homebound,” now’s the perfect time. Subscribe to Nu Reads (nureadsjbc), the Jewish Book Council’s (Jewish Book Council) new curated subscription series, where “Homebound” is the latest selection. Use code NuGolda at checkout for 15% off 🛍️

Our full conversation with Portia is available now 🎙️ Listen and subscribe to GOLDA Girls on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts 🎧 As always, follow us here at GOLDA for more Jewish culture, stories, and recommendations ✨

GOLDA has always been about celebrating all things Jewish culture and conversation. But as GOLDA Girls co-host Rabbi Diana Fersko points out in this week’s podcast episode, “Jewish culture doesn’t just appear. All of those things actually have a source.” 🥯

With the High Holidays right around the corner, we’re excited to partner with our friends at the Simchat Torah Challenge (Simchat Torah Challenge). It’s a fantastic—and accessible—opportunity to explore the root of so much of Jewish life and culture: Torah 🕍

A new episode of GOLDA Girls drops tomorrow morning, and we’re joined by Talia Suskauer (talia), the star of the new musical “A Walk on the Moon” (A Walk On The Moon the Musical), playing at the Laura Pels Theatre in NYC through August 22.

Talia shares what it’s like to step into the role of Pearl Kantrowitz, made famous by Diane Lane in the beloved 1999 film, learning to play mahjong for the role, and what it means to see Jewish joy fill the theater each night.

This weekend, comedians Ariel Elias (Ariel Elias) and Olga Namer (Olga Namer) are heading to the Catskills to headline the Borscht Belt Fest (Borscht Belt Fest). But before taking the stage, they joined us on the GOLDA Girls podcast to talk about truly experiencing Borscht Belt culture for the first time, what they’re most looking forward to, and why performing for a Jewish audience outside of a synagogue feels extra special.
