Would love some feedback — probably overthinking 😅💍

My girlfriend said she wanted an emerald cut with a solid metal band, so that’s exactly what I tried to go for. But now that I have the ring, I’m feeling weirdly nervous about it for some reason.

The specs are H color, VS1 clarity, 1.5 carat, very good cut. I think it looks beautiful, and it matches what she told me she wanted, but I keep second guessing myself because this is such a big decision.

Part of me thinks I’m just overthinking because I want it to be perfect for her, but another part of me keeps staring at it wondering if I made the right choice.

I’d love some honest feedback. Does this look like a good classic emerald cut engagement ring, or is there anything I should be worried about? 😅💍

10 Year Anniversary Upgrade 💙💍

After 10 years of marriage, my husband upgraded my ring and I am completely in love 🥹

I’ve always loved sapphire engagement rings, and this new one feels so perfect for this chapter of our lives. We got married when we were 18, and now at 28, I feel like this ring suits the woman I’ve grown into so much more.

The third photo shows my original ring on top and my new ring on the bottom. Seeing them together makes me emotional because my first ring will always represent where we started, but this upgrade feels like a beautiful celebration of everything we’ve built over the last decade.

I’ve never really been a wedding band girly, so this new ring feels like the perfect standalone upgrade for me.

Specs: size 5.25, lab-made sapphire center stone with moissanite accent stones.

I’m so in love with the ring, but even more in love with the man and the marriage it represents 💙✨

Officially engaged to the love of my life!!! 💍✨

I’m officially engaged as of 6/02 to the most compassionate, genuinely good-hearted, puppy-dog man I’ve ever met, and I still can’t believe I get to say that 🥹

He proposed with the diamond I’ve been fawning over for three years, and it honestly feels so perfect. The color reminds me of his eyes, and the faceting with the crystal inclusions sparkles like fire in the sunlight. I cannot stop staring at it.

I’m very much a practicality-over-everything girlie, and since I work with jewelry for a living, I KNEW what I wanted and what I wanted to avoid. Luckily for me, bezels are my favorite setting, and this one is exactly why. It sits beautifully low, has no prongs to catch on anything, and feels secure enough that I can comfortably wear it every day without stressing over high maintenance.

My beloved knew I had a very clear vision, and honestly I think he was relieved he didn’t have to guess too much lol. But he still made it feel so thoughtful and personal.

Specs: 1ct natural diamond in a 14k yellow gold bezel setting, 2.2mm shank, size 7.

I’m so happy, so in love, and so excited to marry my favorite person 💍🤍

My Toi et Moi! 💍✨

I finally get to share my Toi et Moi ring, and I genuinely cannot stop staring at it 🥹

There’s something so romantic about the two-stone design. I love how it feels unique, meaningful, and a little different from the classic engagement ring style while still looking so elegant.

Every time I look down at my hand, I’m like… wait, this is really mine?? It feels so special and so perfectly me.

I’m completely obsessed. What do you guys think of Toi et Moi rings? 💍🤍

My beautiful sapphire ring 💜💍

My fiancé surprised me with this beautiful sapphire ring on our vacation, and I still can’t believe it’s mine 🥹

Lilac has always been a special color for us, so the fact that he chose a ring that carries that meaning makes it feel even more personal. It’s not just pretty — it feels like us.

Every time I look at it, I’m reminded of that trip, the proposal, and how much thought he put into choosing something so meaningful. The color is soft, romantic, and exactly the kind of special detail I’ll treasure forever.

I’m so happy and completely in love with my ring 💜✨

What do you guys think of lilac/purple sapphires for engagement rings?

Engagement ring or promise ring vibe? 💍

I’m trying to get some honest opinions because I keep going back and forth.

I love this ring, but I’m wondering if it reads more like an engagement ring or more like a promise ring. I know there technically aren’t rules and what matters most is the meaning behind it, but I still want it to feel special and “bridal” enough if it’s going to be worn as an engagement ring.

Part of me thinks it’s simple, sweet, and timeless. But another part of me worries it might look a little too delicate or understated compared to what people usually expect for an engagement ring.

Absolutely in love! Tiny to some, perfect to me 💍✨

I love my ring so much and just wanted to show it off!

The center stone is 0.2ct, which I know might be considered tiny in the U.S., but where I’m from in Central Europe, this is definitely big bling-bling lol.

To me, it’s the perfect ring. It feels delicate, sparkly, elegant, and exactly right for my hand and my everyday life. I honestly wouldn’t change a thing.

I know ring sizes and expectations can be so different depending on where you live, but this one feels so special to me and I’m absolutely in love with it 🥹💍

What do you guys think of smaller center stones?

I can’t decide if I like the ring I’m proposing with… am I overthinking this? 😭💍

My girlfriend and I are both 33F, and I’m planning to propose soon. She likes rings that are dainty, feminine, and a little fairytale-inspired, but not gaudy. She likes circular stones, wants a pink stone, hates silver, and prefers rose gold or yellow gold.

We looked at rings together just to get a general idea of what she likes, and she also thinks it’s silly to spend over $1,000 on a ring. Etsy-style rings were kind of the vibe we kept coming back to.

I initially found this ring online for $1,500 and fell in love with it for her. I kept looking at other options, but I kept coming back to this one, so I finally bought it. Now that it’s here… I’m unsure.

Sometimes I look at it and really like it. Other times I worry it’s too busy, or that the details kind of blur together instead of standing out. Now I’m second guessing whether it’s actually whimsical and pretty, or if I accidentally crossed into gaudy.

She and I have different tastes, and the ring doesn’t fit me, so I can’t really wear it around and get a feel for how it would look every day. I’m stuck staring at it in the box and spiraling lol.

For anyone who has proposed with a ring they weren’t 100% sure about, how did it turn out? Is it a huge deal if we end up choosing a different ring together later? I don’t want to delay the engagement over this when she is so excited, especially because there’s no guarantee she’d like a simpler ring more. She might actually love this one.

I just really don’t want her to feel deflated when she sees it. Am I overthinking this, or should I trust that I chose it because it reminded me of her? Help 😭💍

Can’t decide if I love my ring 😕💍

Edit: thank you all for making me feel better about the ring :)

I feel a little guilty even saying this, because I do love my ring in the sense that he chose it for me and surprised me with it. It’s also close to the examples I had shared with him a long time ago — I wanted a green/blue-ish gemstone, and I do really like the cut.

I had told him I would be completely fine if he only spent a couple hundred dollars on a ring because I’m not super into fancy jewelry, and I’d honestly rather save money for the wedding or travel experiences. He ended up spending around $500 on it. It’s a natural emerald that I think has been treated, with small diamonds on the side and an 8k rose gold band.

I think what’s throwing me off is the size and height of it. I usually like daintier jewelry — subtle but still beautiful — and this ring feels a little bigger than what I’m used to. It also seems like it’s set kind of high, so it catches on things a lot.

It was too big originally, so I had it resized at a fine jewelry shop, which cost $220 — almost half of what the ring itself cost. But even now, it still feels slightly too big, or maybe the stone is just tall enough that it moves around more than I expected. Even daily things like reaching into a bag can shift the stone, and then I have to readjust it so it’s centered again.

Part of me is thinking I should just let these feelings go and maybe wear it occasionally, or even on a necklace, and then choose a wedding band that feels exactly like me. I just feel a little bummed that I’m not completely in love with it the way I see other people talk about their rings.

I don’t really want to spend more money on it at this point, so I’m trying to figure out if I’m overthinking. It’s not bad, right? Has anyone else loved the meaning of their ring but struggled with the practicality or style of it? 😅💍

Do you think it’s too yellow? 😅💍

My fiancée didn’t really have many preferences for her engagement ring other than wanting something simple with an oval design, so that’s what I tried to focus on.

I ended up choosing a 3 carat oval diamond, I color, in a simple setting. I think it’s beautiful, but now I’m starting to overthink whether the stone looks too yellow. I know some warmth can be pretty, especially depending on the setting and lighting, but I’m worried she might notice it and wish it looked more colorless.

Now I’m stuck wondering if I should keep the larger 3 carat diamond, or return it and go for something smaller but higher/colorless in color grade.
