Travel Tip Tuesday

🇮🇹 Picture this: You’re in Italy on the vacation of your dreams. You just finished a delicious meal and it’s time to pay the bill. Planning to leave a big tip? Hold up cause things work a little differently!

💶 Many Italian restaurants include a “coperto” (cover charge) per person on the bill. It’s not a tip, but rather a fee for table linens, silverware, plates, glasses, and bread. And it’s totally normal!

📝 You might also see a “servizio incluso” line. That’s a service charge already built in. If you don’t see it and had great service, rounding up to the nearest Euro or leaving 1–2 Euros is appreciated but never expected.

💡PRO TIP: Tipping in Italy is done in cash, so keep a few small bills or coins on hand.

✅ Bottom line: Always check your bill first before tipping. No need to double up!

While I was away last week a major update for air travel was announced. Say goodbye to awkward balancing acts or untied laces on the floor. You no longer are required to remove your shoes when going through airport security! 🙌

Travel Tip Tuesday

🔌✈️ Don’t let your devices go on vacation before you do!

🌍 Different countries = different outlets. A simple plug adapter helps your charger fit the wall.
⚡ But voltage? That’s a whole other story.

Don’t be the traveler who fries their flat iron or kills their curling wand. Many countries run on 220V electricity, while the U.S. runs on 110V. If your device isn’t dual voltage (look for “110–240V” on the label), you’ll need a voltage converter—not just a plug adapter—to avoid an unfortunate meltdown. 😬

💡 PRO TIPS:
✔️ A universal travel adapter is a smart investment if you travel frequently
✔️ For heat tools, it’s often safer to buy a dual voltage version (Amazon is your friend!) or grab one locally at your destination.

🧳 TL;DR:
Adapter = changes the shape of the plug.
Converter = changes the power going into it.
You may need one, the other, or both—depending on what you’re packing!
