The collaboration that originated Issue 7 — I reached out to .bk in December 2025 with the proposition of interviewing him about his musical project for a blog post. Through our conversation, I came to envision the next issue of The Dilettante, one that explored different artists' creative processes from inspiration to ex*****on.

For those of you that don't know, Aaron has been in The Dilettante's orbit since 2019. (Swipe to the last slide for a photo of Aaron and me at the Edition 2 drop party.) I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to reconnect with and interview (and photograph) him for this issue.

I’m so grateful to all of the artists who saw value in the ethos of The Dilettante ~ this issue features works from 26 contributors from around the globe 🌎 and is our longest issue to date. For this issue, I had the privilege of talking to New York-based photographer Nina Tanujaya (Nina Tanujaya) and Brooklyn-based musician Collapser (Aaron Avidon) about their creative processes and what inspires their work.
