Boxes of 2005 Topps Finest Basketball originally sold two decades ago for $110. Each box came with 18 packs, and out of all the packs that reached the hands of collectors, only 1 had this card… The 1/1 LeBron James Superfractor! One of his earliest Superfractors ever made.

The card sat ungraded for 16 years and was with a collector who had left the hobby. In 2021 he posted the card on Reddit, listed it with Goldin, and sold it for $336,000!

The card has not surfaced since…

Opening packs of 2025 Topps Update Baseball, at least two collectors have received quite the surprise.

A Paul Skenes autograph was found on a Paul Goldschmidt card, and the exact opposite was found as well.

How is this possible? Sticker autographs.

In October 2014, arguably the most unlucky situation in basketball card history went down…

A collector bought the two best Giannis 1/1 rookie Logoman cards in the world, the National Treasures and the Immaculate.

He paid $7,000 for the National Treasures, which was a crazy amount of money at the time for a card of an unproven international teenager.

Giannis was just starting his second season, and as a rookie he had averaged only 6.8 PPG, but this collector saw something special in Giannis before the rest of the hobby did.

When the card arrived, the collector noticed a small yellow stain on the back. He was upset and, after talking to the seller, returned the card and received a full refund.

Sometime soon after, the card was replaced by Panini. That’s why, when it resold for $1.81 million with Goldin in September 2020, the card had Giannis’ shortened signature instead of the longer one seen on his earliest cards.

Since the card last sold, Giannis has made five consecutive All-NBA First Teams, won a ring, and earned Finals MVP.

So, what do you think it’s worth now? Hopefully the collector who returned the NT for $7K was able to flip the Immaculate for a nice profit. 🫣
