Which is better (if either) to a black tie optional wedding?
Going to an August black tie optional wedding. Im scared the pink one is too prom cause it poofs out quite a bit (and I don’t love it cause it’s hard to walk in) but everyone I’ve showed it to likes the pink and says it’s good to wear. Also I took off the belt it came with. The blue one is vintage, comfier, and more my style (obviously it needs to be steamed). Other than the dress needing to hit the floor there aren’t any rules about dress code specified to me (and they both hit the floor). Let me know! (Nicely please)

Which dress is best?
Going to a wedding next week and ordered a bajillion dresses, these are the top three as chosen by my mum and grandma!

Vibe is a London town hall wedding, dress code: "Please wear your summer suits with ties, and colourful summer dresses/jumpsuits." but it's on the dressier side, not actual sundresses.

Help with decision please.
The actual dress code is printed in three different places and all three are different. On the printed invitation it says Formal Attire.

They have a website and there are two different printed options there, one is Black tie optional and the other is Evening gown or Cocktail attire. My husband will be in a tux.

I have three choices. Two and three are below the knee line and probably what somebody considers go to church on Sunday dresses but I live in the country so they are way way way fancy for me.

One is to the ankle and does not drag on the floor.

I'm wearing flats either way because wearing high heels is like being in the circus. 30 years ago I could do it, today not a chance.

With number one (which is my favorite) I'll be needing to sort of hide a tattoo on my forearm. It doesn't have to be completely hidden but it does need to be sort of hidden as it's going on 50 years old and it shows it. Is a shawl going to be too much with the pleats because that dress is pleated on both the top and the bottom.

Is this appropriate? Garden Party Formal
I’m a +1 to a wedding for a couple I’ve never met and the invitation says DC is Garden Party Formal with a note for women to wear long dresses or an elegant skirt. I don’t own anything remotely similar and have 4 days to find something. Found this dress on sale at Nordstrom and it fit me like a glove. In person, it’s clearly peach/orange/pink, but I’m scared it reads as too white or lacey as seen in the dressing room photo. The wedding will be outside in the daytime and I doubt there will be flash photography. Please let me know your thoughts as to whether this is appropriate to wear. If not, any suggestions for where to find a short notice dress under the DC would be really appreciated! I don’t want to spend over $120 if I can help it, and would love to find something I can rewear again. Thank you!

Patterned or plain?
I am in the process of getting a dress custom made so I am going through some of my fabric options.

I have two black tie weddings to attend so I am hoping to wear this dress to both.

The first wedding is in autumn at a conservatory style venue and the second will be in is at a vineyard estate in summer. Both receptions will be indoors.

I really like the Mac Duggal style dresses and thankfully my dress maker has a similar pattern to one of their designs. My only dilemma is which fabric type to choose.

I’ve used chat gpt to make some mock ups that are in a very similar pattern and colour of the jacquard fabric that the dress maker has in stock. The other mock up is the plain fabric version which has a satin type finish in a berry colour. I would probably go for a darker color if plain was preferred. Hoping that by choosing a berry tone it can suit both autumn and summer?

My questions are: A. Is this dress cut appropriate for black tie? (The dress will be floor length) B. To go with a pattern or to go plain?

I’d like to look a little fancy but don’t want to go too overboard.

100+ lb weight loss and plastic surgery, I have no idea how to dress as a “flower girl”
Need a dress for an upstate New York, wedding that I am a “flower girl” in. It’s an afternoon wedding, backyard ceremony, inside reception in a bed and breakfast inn. Friend gave us loose guidelines (fall palette and long). This isn’t my usual go-to color but other palette colors are taken and we aren’t supposed to repeat colors. I’ve lost about 110lbs and undergone 2 surgeries. I’m a size 8 and 5’4” so I would have thought this would be easy but it is now difficult for me to really understand my body and what looks good. My friends prefer the look on the right but frankly it makes me feel very squat, wide, and covered up, exactly the thing I would have worn to hide myself before.

Seeking feedback - I’m not limited to these choices so feel free to recommend something else.
