this what our life looks like every 10 days ❤️‍🩹 this tiny device is called a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) it checks her blood sugar every 5 minutes, 24/7. it’s how we catch dangerous highs and lows before they become emergencies (most of the time) it’s how we sleep at night. it’s how she stays safe when she can’t tell us how she feels. every 10 days, we replace it. another reminder that diabetes doesn’t take breaks. she didn’t do anything to deserve this. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease & there is no cure. but every day we manage, take the wins and ride the T1D wave ❤️‍🩹
