Jen seems to be the vocal “processor, protector and no nonsense truth teller” with what she’s witnessed in Meri’s ongoing familial dynamic. What I dont understand...
I like Janelle, I think she is a good person. What I dont get is, early on, she counted on Christine to watch the kids and if I remember correctly, did homeschooling or tutored them? Janelle would also go watch movies cause she knew Christine would be up for watching the kids. Christine could do that... but when she had to work at night she had to depend on her oldest daughter to make sure the kids went to bed and were alright? Janelle couldn't do that for Christine? and make sure she had a walkie in her room and one in Christines living room, just in case Christine's kids needed something? Janelle couldn't volunteer like 20min of her night to Christine's kids?

I judge her way more for exploiting her kids for content than handing them an iPad on a road trip!!!
She's complaining because people are judging her parenting. Meanwhile...she splashes her kids across social media every day.
Also what does she not understand about childhood brain development?
She wants everyone to come for meri and never see her faults? Sounds like shes the same immature kid and stuck in the past and cant figure out why people don’t understand that. Meri with her faults moved on, grew and has said nothing bad about any kids ever and was going through hell during the persons shes being bashed for

I loved every bit of this! Seeing Meri so confident and standing in her truth and purpose. I love this era that she is in.
And I also think this episode gave us a bit of a window into why the other adults in the family have made Meri out to be the villain; the problematic one.
The truth is that Meri is the most mature adult in the Brown family. She’s not afraid to have the hard conversations. If there is an issue, Meri’s personality seems to be that she likes to deal with those issues head on and not let them fester.
The other members of the Brown family seem to be more emotionally immature and stunted. They are afraid to have the hard conversations.
And I think they hated that Meri is so much more intellectually mature that they are and that she’s not afraid to use her voice and have the difficult conversations.
Kody to Meri: “You and I trigger each other.” LOL. No, Kody. Meri was so unbothered by you in that conversation. She looked you in the face, head held high and confidently told you that you were not going to shut her down. She left you nearly speechless, thrown off the script you came with, and ultimately left you literally running for the bathroom at the end.
I knew Kody’s apology tour to the wives would be insane, and I wasn’t disappointed. When he arrives to meet with Meri, though, it blows up in his face. Meri has grown so much and is confident and in control here; Kody tries his various weaselly ways to get under her skin and commandeer the conversation, and it simply no longer works. Meri is calm, collected, and stops him dead in his tracks. He’s so flustered and almost immediately outs his true goal and the ‘apology’ as a one-sided, selfish way to absolve himself without caring what she might have to say in response. As a long-time viewer, this scene was so damn cathartic. I was cheering and clapping at the tv for Meri!

Does anybody else get the impression that Suki is getting really frustrated with the family? In the latest clips from the upcoming Tell All episodes, she seems downright annoyed with their evasiveness.

I bet she’s realized that the family WILL NOT let her do her job and the fans will not forgive her for it.
How in the world could she not be frustrated? They are insufferable 😡

The Tell-All and interaction with Suki began to change last season. The biggest difference was she wouldn't sit there, quiet and obedient, when Kody pulled one of his "I'm gonna have to shut you down" reactions to issues he refused to talk about. Up until last year, she would accept that and just move on. However - last year, if you can remember, she said to Kody, "Oh, if you're gonna be a baby and not answer, then..." That quip made him completely change his attitude, and he'd pretend like he was joking with her. Smooth move, Ex-LAX. 🙄 A new producer was assigned to Sister Wives last season, which is why we began to see a more balanced view.... especially during Tell-Alls. None of the family members should've ever had that much control over what they will and won't answer. That's the deal when you put your entire personal life on tv. Of course some subjects that come up will need special consideration (like Garrison's death). However, if it's simply Kody Brown being an as**at, that shouldn't ever happen again. If they don't want to cooperate and answer questions, then they shouldn't get paid! 🤷🏻‍♀️

In one episode of Sister Wives, Kody said, "I will not cut Robyn off to have a relationship with my kids."
David, on the other hand, said, "Kids are part of the package. If you want me to cut my kids out, then we won't work."
I LOVE David! He's a real dad who loves his children, and nothing-not even a woman-comes between him and his kids. I applaud David..

I have a question that may have never been addressed
I’m watching the episode of Janelle starting the process to get a release of her marriage from the church. It made me think about how she was raised in the mainstream church and previously married to Meri’s brother, Adam. We’ve also heard the story about Janelle’s mom, Sheryl, who was concerned about Janelle marrying into a polygamist family. That she went to meet the Browns, and that’s how she ended up meeting Winn and eventually marrying him. But Meri was raised in a polygamist family, so her brother came from a polygamist family. Did Janelle’s mom not have a concern at that point about Janelle marrying into a polygamist family? But also, they make it sound like Janelle didn’t join the Apostolic United Brethren (AUB) until she was with Kody. Then was Adam no longer a member of the AUB when he married Janelle? Was he a member of the mainstream Mormon church? If so, was it because he denounced the AUB, like the LDS church had asked Maddie and Mykelti to do?

Does Janelle’s marriage to Meri’s brother really matter?
It defined the relationship that Meri and Janelle will always have. Meri was hurt by Janelle and Janelle didn’t care. Kody seemed to side with Janelle on this and that led to resentment on Meri’s part for the last 35 years or so…if they can make 10 seasons out of Meri’s catfish, she should be allowed to FINALLY bring up the basis of their strained relationship and stand up for herself.

It’s relevant because the schism in their relationship has always been presented on the show as it was because Meri was difficult and moody and pushy etc. Meanwhile this bish is out there divorcing her brother and marrying her husband. They always made it seem like Meri was the problem when Janelle was allllll kinds of shady and problematic.

I am frankly glad to see Janelle finally getting some of her dirty laundry finally aired.

Of course there may be some resentment behind that, but why is it being brought up now and why as a viewer should I care? I think polygamy as a whole is different so I’m not shocked that a young woman like Janelle was not phased by marrying her sister in laws husband. I can see how Meri is affected by this but I truly wonder what Meri’s, Janelle’s and Adam’s relationship was actually like before Jenelle married Kody. I know Meri was at their wedding, but how close were they before she married Kody? It’s concerning all around but I’m not sure it means anything almost 40 years later when mostly everyone has moved on from this marriage.

I thought it was weird that she was coming in and they weren’t married yet and she was on the schedule. Then the dress and the kiss to seal the ‘engagement’. It all seemed so off. I also clocked pretty quick how she likes to speak for the wives. Like bro you’re the newbie. Then she needed and nanny and it really felt like she was edging Christine out which only made the dress thing stand out even more. Then there’s how she treated Meri. She really tried to use Meri all the time. She never seemed genuine or made sacrifices for Meri. It was always what can Meri do for me.

My clue was either the dress thing, the 11 day honeymoon, or smooching with him while his wife was in labor. Sooooo....pretty much right away. She is a manipulative snake and Kody was the idiot that fell for it. How did the OG3s keep their cool?

So, where is this Monster Meri people have always talked about? She removed the cancerous parasites in her life and has found herself. It was mentioned that there was one more woman before Jenelle that didn't work out. Kody and Meri were only married for about one year when he married Jenelle. And Jenelle use to be married to Meri's brother. What? Jenelle had the first kid. Meri had infertility issues . She saw his attention was not disrupted evenly because of it. They even tried to say she didnt deserve such a big house because she only had one kid. Even thought she was one of the only family members making money outside of the show. Robyn's jewelry was a huge flop. And she gets the bigger house because she has so many kids? Three OGs all shared a single wide trailer. And Robyn has the multi-million dollar house, bought with equity of the last house she was in...which was bought with 100% of the proceeds of Meri's house in Vegas (yet they said the family couldn't loan her money for a family home in Utah?) Plus money from Jenelle.'s sale He offered to put Meri above his garage! He punished Christine by withholding s*x. I can't imagine what "punishments" he had for Meri pre-catfishing...no wonder she got catfished. I know there is an arrangement for "If the tables were turned a man wouldn't get away with cheating". Well the tables are not turned. Kody is a dick and all three of those women were abused in some sort of way and to varying degrees. TLC is missing out If Sister Wives isnt replaced with a survival show with the three OGs. Kody and Robyn could possibly make guest appearances for fractions of what the OGs are getting.f
