#..........GOVERNOR CHAGOR JET BACK TO BOR AFTER TWO DAYS VISIT TO NYIROL COUNTY-LANKIEN TO SANITIZES THE CITIZENS ON REVITALIZE PEACE ACCORD:

14th, January 2022.

Governor Chagor with his accompanied delegation drawn from National and State governments flown to Lankien (LK) on 13rd, January 2022 and returned back on 14th, January 2022.

The prime objectives of two days visit to LK were to: Educate the citizens on revitalize Peace agree. Have a better understanding on challenges facing the communities. Reaffirmed the commitment of President of Republic Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit and all parties to the agreement to the full implementation of revitalize Peace agreement in the letter and spirit.

It was once observed by Dr. Martin Luther King that "violence never brings permanent peace. It solves no social problem: it merely creates new and more complicated ones".
We all be ambassadors of peace for a better South Sudan.

This is a historic visit of Hon. Denay Jock Chagor and his delegates to Nyirol County headquarter Lankien.

It was first of it kind for the governor to visit the county headquarter since the formation of Transitional Government of National Unity(TGoNU). He was warmly received by Hon. James Bol Makuei Hoth Commissioner of Nyirol County, chiefs, army forces and the loving citizens of Nyirol.

He visited some key facilities within the county headquarter and he had a great speech in Lankien Presbyterian Church by addressing some challenges affecting the people of Lou Nuer and Jonglei state at large.

He will have inclusive meetings with Nyirol youth tomorrow morning. That will a time where more will be iron out.

Latest update on South Sudan.

IGAD suspends South Sudan's membership over unpaid dues

The regional Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) has suspended South Sudan over its membership arrears, the government spokesperson said.

South Sudan Information Minister Micheal Makuei Lueth made the remarks on Friday after the weekly Council of Ministers meeting in Juba where the foreign affairs minister Mayiik Ayii Deng appealed for the payment of the dues.

Makuei, however, did not reveal when South Sudan was suspended.

"We have been suspended from IGAD simply because we have not paid our dues," Makuei said.

He added, "There are so many vacancies which we are supposed to occupy, about 14 of them which are supposed to be our positions. We are unable to occupy them simply because we have not paid our dues for long."

According to Makuei, the cabinet directed the ministry of finance to pay all arrears owed to IGAD and other organizations three weeks ago, but that directive was not implemented.

The government mouthpiece said the cabinet resolved that the ministers of foreign affairs and that of finance discuss and resolve the matter.

"It was decided that the minister of foreign affairs discuss all this with the new minister of finance so that they can chart out the way forward to pay all the outstanding arrears so that the government or the people of South Sudan can benefit from these positions," Makuei said.

IGAD helped midwife the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement that brought independence to South Sudan and has continued to play a pivotal role in providing and mobilizing all the necessary political, technical and material support in the quest for peace, stability, and nation-building in South Sudan.

South Sudan joined the IGAD in 2011. Other member states include Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, Somalia, and Uganda.

The latest update regarding Buong incident; the seventeen (17) women and girls being abducted by what so called criminals youth group from GPAA.

1.Two women (2) and one (1) girl had been found dead
2. Twelve (12) women have been recovered and
3. Two (2) girls are still missing. This missing two girls are from Chie-yok subclan.

As of 1230 hrs: The heightened tensions persist and the mobilisation is reportedly still ongoing. However, in contrast to initial information, OAG members were not involved but yesterday’s clash was reportedly between armed youths from Haak Nuer community of Mayendit County and Dok Nuer community of Leer County. Yesterday, youths from Mayendit County reportedly arrived at Padeah with cattle and were stopped by youths from Leer County suspecting the cattle to be previously stolen. The youths groups clashed killing one of the youths from Mayendit. In revenge, the youths from Mayendit reportedly attacked this night and killed one individual in Padeah Settlement.In consequence, both sides are reportedly mobilising and further clashes continue to appear likely. Possible locations of further fighting are assessed to be in the area around Padeah, Rubkuay, Tutnyang, and Luom settlements. However, fighting in other areas cannot be ruled out as the movement of youths is hard to predict.

Murle Killed people at Tharrew between Chuil and Lankien yesterday
I’m legitimately ratified to make this apprise, but treat it as the kind of mobilization
Today early morning, we have received unpleasant information from Chuil Payam via Radio Communication that Murle Criminals attacked people on their ways to Lankien yesterday at Tharrew between Tel-Ker and Thakroal, killed 2 women and 1 man (Dignitary person whose position and name remain confident) and abducted two children, ‘’said a survivor.’’

This is something we can’t abide by as Lou Nuer. We are told to have peace with Murle and yet they keep on attacking (killing) people on daily basis.
