It’s been two years since Chappell Roan dropped The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, and while fans have been fed with hits like “Good Luck, Babe!,” “The Giver,” and “The Subway,” her second album is still a ways off. In a new Vogue interview, Roan gets real: “I don’t think I make good music whenever I force myself to do anything... even if I was in the studio 12 hours a day, that does not mean you’d get an album any faster.”

But don’t panic, Princesses—there’s still plenty of Roan to go around. Her wild “Subway” video racked up nearly 4.5 million views in two days, and she’s currently lighting up stages across Europe before returning stateside for massive shows in NYC, Kansas City, and Pasadena. “This pace feels good,” she says. “I can finally be excited about going to work again.”

Ozzy Osbourne, legendary frontman of Black Sabbath and one of the most iconic figures in heavy metal, has died at 76, just weeks after his farewell concert in the U.K. Known for his haunting vocals and outrageous antics — from biting the head off a bat to founding Ozzfest — Osbourne shaped the sound and spirit of heavy metal for over five decades. His family confirmed he passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. Osbourne had publicly battled Parkinson’s disease since 2020. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice — once with Black Sabbath in 2006 and again as a solo artist in 2024.

Black Sabbath’s early records, including their self-titled debut and Paranoid, laid the foundation for heavy metal’s dark and thunderous tone. After being fired from the band in 1979 for his out-of-control lifestyle, Osbourne launched a wildly successful solo career with hits like “Crazy Train” and “Flying High Again.” He later showed a softer side on MTV’s The Osbournes, becoming a beloved pop culture figure. His recent farewell show drew rock’s biggest names, underscoring his enduring influence. Despite controversy, lawsuits, and scandals, Ozzy remained unapologetically himself — a rebel, a showman, and a godfather of metal.

Katy Perry had a heart-stopping moment during her San Francisco stop on the Lifetimes Tour when the flying butterfly prop she was riding malfunctioned mid-air at the Chase Center on Friday (July 18). While singing her hit "Roar," the 40-year-old pop icon was suddenly jolted as the butterfly slipped from its wire and dipped sharply, nearly unseating her above a packed crowd. Startled, Perry clutched the prop tightly, pausing the performance until she regained her balance and composure, then continued to deliver a strong finish. She later posted a screen-grab of her frightened expression to Instagram Stories with the caption “Goodnight San Fran.” This incident echoes a previous mishap in Australia, where a tilting sphere forced Perry to cling to safety cables. Similar scares have recently plagued other artists as well—most notably Beyoncé, whose suspended car stalled mid-performance in Houston. Perry continues her global trek in support of her latest album, 143, which debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, with upcoming shows across North America, Europe, and South America through December.

For all the latest on Katy Perry’s tour—including behind-the-scenes moments, unexpected twists, and pop culture buzz—stay locked in to Rizz Radio. Whether you’re streaming from rizzradio.com, the Live365 app, or wherever digital radio is found, we’ve got you covered with nonstop updates, music news, and exclusive commentary you won’t want to miss.
