My partner often nudges me to be more of a risk taker in life. So never one to duck a challenge I have been showering without using the rubber suction bath mat.
I actually prefer the feel of the worn acrylic over the plasticky rubber, and I enjoy showing now more that ever knowing that each shower could be my last.
Male, 43, risk taker, but not to a point where I want to take a banana in with me.

I’m spending two weeks in the current Middle Ages (SCA) at a large campground outside Pittsburg, PA with almost 10,000 other Reenactors. We are part of the signal crew firing cannon at the to start and stop the “battles”. This event is full of folk in full armor beating the tar out of each other in summer heat, shopping for medieval themed items and clothing, and many classes are also a part of this event. There are also parties in the evening. It’s not a renn faire but more like a summer vacation for reenactors.
M47, bananas look very different in the middle ages. But that’s a completely different post.

Why are trains so outrageously heavy?
Passenger carriage on the left - 36 tonnes for 74 seats and no engine. Engine carriage on the right - 70 tonnes. 70 tonnes! So for a fairly typical service with 5 carriages, you’re looking at 250 tonnes of choo-choo for 370 seats. That’s 670 kg per seat.
Even EVs - which everyone slags off as stupidly heavy - are about 2 tonnes for 5 seats. That’s 400 kg per seat.
What gives? Have train design engineers never tried to lose weight?
No banana for scale - an African elephant would be more appropriate but I didn’t have one on me.

Finally it happened. I got the last missing best-before-date bread clipband in to my collection.
I had been collecting all bread clipbands into a glass jar for over ten years, waiting for an idea of what to do with them. Inspired by another dulster, I checked in the winter whether I had all the dates of a year. I even had February 29th, but one was missing, August 6th. I set a reminder for half a year so as not to miss out on a loaf of bread with the right date. After 6 months of waiting, my wife bought it and I am happy. My calendar is now complete.

Hello dullsters,
This is my first post here and I hope it is dull enough for you all.
A mosquito landed on me for the 4,937th time this summer. I slapped it within .01 seconds with my experience. For whatever reason it left a ghost-like imprint on my leg.. like the shadow people of Chernobyl. This has never happened to me and I was so interested that I had to photograph the evidence.
F 29, shoe size 6.5, I do not have a banana for scale but I do have this:
To equal the weight of a medium banana, it would take approximately 40,000 to 57,000 mosquitoes, according to the Benton County Mosquito Control District.
*ETA thank you to everyone who corrected Chernobyl to Hiroshima for me. I am a dingus but genuinely appreciate the right information. 🙏

I've been seeing a ton of posts lately comparing the Philips screw to the Torx, saying we should ditch Philips and switch to Torx. They all talk like that's the real debate. But come on, that’s not it. The real question is Torx vs. Robertson. I'm firmly in the Robertson camp. I think it's time we move on from Philips altogether and embrace Robertson. Canadians, you’re already on board—we know you love it. What’s the general consensus from everyone else?
I back Robertson over Torx because it's just more practical in real world use. The screw holds steady on the bit, and it feels smooth and solid when you're driving it.
And honestly, we should’ve phased out Philips a long time ago. It was literally designed to cam out, which is just frustrating. Both Robertson and Torx do a better job, and it’s not even close.

NOT MY POST but it was great to share on this group though
I know I cant be the only adult that loves pizza lunchables?!?!
I got these for my kids for their lunch boxes to cut costs instead of buying a $4 lunchable every day, but I will eat these too.
The bread is naan bread!
Then mozzarella, pepperoni and a sq**rt of sauce!
Much cheaper than lunchables and they are bigger portions!
