Perhaps this is an unconventional fix for the cooling system but functional none the less for this sailboat. Sometimes, you have to come up with your own part replacements if nothing is available at hand. FYI: I will locate the part eventually and change it 😅

I’m servicing a marinised 120hp Ford Lehman engine. I learnt quite a lot but still not done, finding new things as I go along and finding new things that require attention, so this is a part one of servicing my sail boats engine. � If someone knows where the coolant draining plug is on this engine, please let me know �

We were trying to flush out the coolant expansion tank, but we’re having some trouble, so we decided to take it out and do it properly and discovered that the bottom was very much corroded. Doing basic maintenance brings us to new discoveries � I’m not quite sure how realistic motoring away on this sailboat is anymore � but we shall prevail �

Lets change your engine oil. Depending on your vehicle the engine oil requored will differ. Check your car manual to see what engine oil your car takes. This is a very crucial part for servicing your vehicle and should be done in corralation with changi g your diff oil, oil filters and air filter. Follow to find out how to do the rest. If you are a Newbie to working on your car then this is a great place to start. This will save you money and get you familier with your vehicle. P.S. I’m not a proffesional just a girl that likes to work on her vehicle before goving the big bucks away to the mechanics.
