In Unboxed 1.0 the car was split into only three to four large groups, work moved linearly, inspections were batch based, and the slowest station gated the whole line. Unboxed 2.0 fixes those limits by standardizing six modules: body structure, interior, battery pack, drive unit, glazing, and exterior.

These six modules are built in parallel and then married at the end of the line, so bottlenecks are removed at the process design stage.
