Time passes, on average, 477 millionths of a second faster per day on Mars than on Earth thanks to the impact of Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity. Scientists say this will have repercussions for future navigation and communication networks that may span the inner solar system.Neil Ashby and Bijunath Patla of NIST, the National Institute of Standards and Technology in the U.S., calculated the time discrepancy between Mars and Earth by considering the strength of gravity on Mars (which is five times weaker than on Earth), the velocity and eccentricity of the Red Planet's orbit around the sun, and the gravitational influence of not only the sun but also Mars' nearest neighbors, Earth and our moon.

"[Mars'] distance from the sun and its eccentric orbit make the variations in time larger," said Patla in a statement. "A three-body problem is extremely complicated. Now we're dealing with four: the sun, Earth, the moon and Mars. The heavy lifting was more challenging than I initially thought."

The interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS is erupting with carbon-rich compounds at extraordinary levels, including methanol—a key prebiotic ingredient not detected in any other interstellar object. As only the third known visitor from beyond our solar system, it stands apart from comets born in our own stellar neighborhood. Approaching the Sun, it rapidly developed a vast envelope of water v***r and gas enriched with unusually high amounts of carbon dioxide. Its strikingly red light hints at exotic surface chemistry, and its early outgassing suggests it hasn’t ventured near a star for hundreds of millions of years, possibly since leaving its home system.

On December 7–8, the Moon will put on one of its most breathtaking shows — a total lunar eclipse lasting 82 minutes, during which it transforms into a glowing red “Blood Moon.” 🔴🌕

As Earth’s shadow moves across the lunar surface, the Moon’s usual silver light fades and is replaced by a deep, haunting shade of red that feels both ancient and magical. For a brief time, the heavens align perfectly — Sun, Earth, and Moon falling into flawless cosmic order. ✨

Watching a Blood Moon feels like the night has slowed down. Colors grow richer, the world grows quieter, and everything above seems suspended in time. ❤️🔥
For those 82 minutes, the Moon shines with a warm inner glow, a reminder that even in darkness, light has a way of returning.

A rare celestial wonder — absolutely worth staying up to see and unforgettable once witnessed.

Black holes might not exist after all — at least not yet.

A bombshell new theory from physicist Daryl Janzen says we've spent 60 years confusing mathematical inevitability with actual reality in general relativity.

GR shows collapse to a singularity is unavoidable… but only in infinite time from our perspective. The event horizon never forms "now" — it's always "later," forever approaching like a limit you never reach.

We've been reading curved spacetime diagrams like flat maps, assuming the "inside" already happened. That's a modal fallacy: inevitable ≠ actual.

No horizon means no Hawking radiation, no information paradox, no singularity puzzles. Everything we've built on "completed" black holes — from mergers to ev***ration — ev***rates itself.

LIGO waves? Emitted before any horizon could form. The universe stays safe from naked singularities because collapse never finishes from the outside.

This isn't fringe — it's a strict reading of GR's causal structure. We've ignored the infinite redshift that freezes the process forever in our frame.

Black holes aren't things. They're eternal becomings.
The cosmos just got weirder… and simpler.
