We spend so much time learning about God. We read the Bible, listen to sermons, attend church, and grow in our knowledge of Him.
But have you ever stopped to ask this important question?
Does God know me?
Of course, God knows every one of us. He knows our thoughts, our hearts, and every detail of our lives. But the Bible also speaks of being known by God not just as someone He created, but as someone who walks closely with Him.
Abraham was called the friend of God. It wasn't because Abraham knew many facts about God. It was because he trusted God, obeyed Him, and walked with Him in faith. Their relationship was real.
Today, God invites us to examine our hearts. It's possible to know a great deal about Him without truly walking with Him. Christianity is not simply about gaining more knowledge; it's about growing in a relationship with the One who loves us.
So today, don't just ask, "Do I know God?" Ask, "Am I walking so closely with Him that I am truly known by Him?" And then ask, "Am I being faithful with what He has entrusted to me?"
God isn't looking for perfect people. He's looking for hearts that are surrendered, faithful, and willing to walk with Him every day.
Prayer -
Lord, if I have taken You for granted, please forgive me. I don't want to simply know about You, I want to know You personally and walk closely with You. Like Abraham, help me to trust You, obey You, and walk with You day by day. Shape my heart to be faithful in all that You have entrusted to me. May my life reflect a genuine relationship with You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
