Scandal After Scandal: Albanian President Begaj Exposed Again

After faking a photo with President Trump and the First Lady by posing with a mannequin, Albania’s President Bajram Begaj now faces a new scandal that shakes the nation.

TIRANA — Another controversy erupts around Albania’s head of state. Following the embarrassment of publishing a fake photo claiming to stand beside U.S. President Donald Trump and the First Lady — later revealed to be nothing more than a mannequin — President Bajram Begaj is now under fire for a fresh scandal with far deeper consequences.

While ordinary Albanians struggle on salaries of barely €500 a month — including police officers and public administration workers — Begaj is pushing to bring thousands of immigrants from Bangladesh. These foreign workers would reportedly be paid nearly double, with salaries of around €1,000, plus covered taxes, insurance, and housing.

Meanwhile, Albania itself is being emptied of its native population. Low wages, systematic violations of human rights, and fear of criminal gangs are forcing Albanians to flee to Europe, creating what many describe as a form of planned ethnic cleansing.

Even worse, the country has become a safe haven for criminals. Extradited offenders from Europe return to Albania only to live freely, while the nation turns into a hub of prostitution and drug distribution for EU states and even the United States.

Corruption has penetrated every level of society. The law requires that state officials have a clean record and must never have broken the law. Yet in Albania, this standard has become impossible to uphold — because almost everyone has violated the law at some point. The reality is stark: either the law must be changed to allow people with criminal backgrounds into state administration, or foreign officials must be brought in to fill the void.

This latest scandal adds to growing anger among Albanians, who see their state’s highest office sinking deeper into disgrace.

What a shame!
The Albanian people have long shown that they are one and the same, even if divided — and therefore unity is not only necessary, but inevitable. Yet today we are forced to endure the absurdity of having two so-called presidents. Why should the people pay double when both of them lie and deceive in exactly the same way? At least with one president, only one liar would exist, and the burden on the people would be less.

Both of these individuals must be investigated for deceiving their own citizens and prosecuted for abuse of office. Their recent shameful act of posing with a fake statue while falsely claiming to be with the President of the United States exposes them not only as frauds but also as a national embarrassment. In a country with dignity and character, such figures, upon returning home, would be handcuffed immediately and permanently barred from ever setting foot in the Presidential offices again.

Albanian World TV, as the critical voice of Albanians, denounces this disgraceful act with the strongest condemnation and demands that both cases be thoroughly investigated to uncover this vile deception. Such behavior gravely offends the dignity, character, and trust of the Albanian people, constituting a criminal violation by the heads of state themselves.
Ps.
Next two photos with the respective whife and husband of the 2 Albanian Presidents, were made by our photographers while the state officials were enjoying their " meetings".

The Creation of an Imaginary Opposition in Albania

In Albania—a country with a current population of around 2 million, and a global ethnic population of over 20 million—an extraordinary political phenomenon is taking place.

Despite the nation's potential, the people remain largely disinterested in its future. They neglect the opportunity to change their country for the better, placing their hopes and dreams abroad instead. As a result, no one stands up to challenge the status quo, because the future is no longer envisioned within Albania’s borders.

The political elite, effectively controlled by three mafia-like organizations, manipulates power by engineering opposition parties themselves. When these groups come to power, rather than facing real political competition, they manufacture opposition—a spectacle designed to fool both the domestic population and the international community.

The Albanian people, indifferent and disengaged, do not react. Instead, they mock these individuals who, ironically, may soon be sitting in Parliament.

Even individuals with obvious psychological instability are encouraged—sometimes openly supported—by the ruling party to form these so-called opposition movements. The purpose? To make noise. To create the illusion of democratic vitality, so foreign observers can see a vibrant multi-party system at work.

In truth, these “opponents” are often propped up and even elected by the very party in power. Their votes are bought using money funneled from crime and corruption, and the people selected to enter Parliament are not there to challenge authority, but to maintain a carefully curated illusion.

One such individual is already being positioned to enter the next Parliament.

Isn’t this a direct insult to the so-called "brightest minds" of the country—its academics and professors?

Absolutely. But more than that, it exposes not the political cunning of these charlatans, but the moral failure and incompetence of Albania’s intellectual class. Their silence, passivity, or even complicity allows this theater of democracy to continue, while the nation slides deeper into political absurdity.
This is the start of a new political stupid show in Albania.

Albania and the Atlantis Conspiracy: Was Illyria the Lost Empire?

For centuries, historians have searched for Atlantis—the legendary advanced civilization described by Plato. Most point to the Mediterranean or the Atlantic Ocean. But a growing group of researchers and conspiracy theorists believe the answer lies in a surprising place: Albania and ancient Illyria.

Why Albania?

Geography Matches Plato’s Description

Plato wrote of a land with high mountains, fertile plains, and access to the sea. Albania’s rugged mountains and Adriatic coast fit the description better than many other proposed sites.

Mysterious Ruins

In southern Albania, the ruins of Butrint and hidden structures beneath the Ionian coastline show advanced engineering far older than the Roman or Greek era. Could these be remnants of a forgotten empire?

Illyrian Legends

Ancient Illyrian myths tell of a great flood that destroyed powerful kingdoms. Some scholars argue these stories are echoes of the Atlantis catastrophe.

The Cover-Up Theory

Critics say if evidence tied Albania to Atlantis, it would shift the center of European civilization away from Greece and Rome. That’s why, they argue, mainstream historians avoid the subject. Some even believe NATO and global institutions have a vested interest in keeping Albania’s ancient role buried.

A Forgotten Identity?

If Illyria was once the cradle of Atlantis, then Albania is sitting on the ruins of the world’s first advanced civilization. This possibility isn’t just historical—it’s revolutionary.

CALL FOR JUSTICE
Over 1.7 Million Views, Yet No Justice: Albanian Authorities Fail to Act on Serious Crimes

Videos exposing abuses in Durrës have reached over 1.7 million views, yet the Prosecutor’s Office and Police of Durrës have not found it “reasonable” to initiate criminal proceedings against the abusers. According to the Albanian Penal Code, each of the individuals involved should have been prosecuted for multiple criminal offenses carrying sentences of three to five years in prison.

Instead, authorities acted swiftly to imprison the whistleblower, while those accused of crimes continue working in their positions and mistreating citizens. This selective justice exposes how a mafia-like administration in Albania protects its own members, regardless of criminal behavior, obstructing justice at every step.

Despite Public Exposure, No Prosecutions

Based on the visibility and public denunciations, the following individuals have been exposed but remain unprosecuted:

1. The nurse who assaulted a citizen and refused to provide medical assistance to a patient in urgent need.

2. The doctor who failed to give first aid, violating both legal and ethical obligations.

3. The director of the Durrës Water Utility, Denian Shytaj, accused of falsifying official documents to obstruct justice and endangering the life of a family left without drinking water for two years.

4. The police officer who assaulted a citizen, unlawfully deprived them of liberty, and engaged in abuse of office, falsification of documents, and obstruction of justice to prevent his own prosecution.

A System That Protects Abusers

These are serious criminal offenses, yet the perpetrators continue their jobs in public institutions. Instead of defending citizens’ rights, Albania’s institutions appear to shield offenders while targeting those who denounce corruption and abuse.

Such cases highlight the systemic failure of rule of law in Albania, where:

Crimes by public officials go unpunished.

Justice is obstructed to protect insiders.

Whistleblowers face retaliation rather than protection.

Call for Action

The Prosecutor’s Office of Albania must immediately initiate proceedings against the individuals involved in these grave violations of law and human rights. Failure to act not only undermines public trust but also jeopardizes Albania’s credibility with its citizens and international partners.

Justice delayed is justice denied — and in Albania, justice is being denied deliberately.

Tourists Overcharged on Tirana–Durrës Bus: Rogue Drivers Risk Albania’s Reputation

TIRANA, Albania — A disturbing incident has raised fresh concerns about corruption and exploitation in Albania’s public transport sector. Two tourists reported being quoted $20 for the Tirana–Durrës bus — a journey that normally costs 200–250 lek (about $2–3).

According to the tourists, when they tried to walk away, the driver and his assistant pressured them to stay. After tense negotiations, they eventually paid $20 total for four passengers — still nearly double the standard fare.
Official Fare vs. Rogue Pricing

The official fare for Tirana–Durrës buses is 200–250 lek per passenger. Buses run frequently from Tirana’s intercity bus terminals between 6:00 AM and 9:15 PM, serving locals and visitors alike at affordable rates.

Reputable operators, such as Adis Travel & Tours, also connect Tirana Airport to Durrës with tickets priced at $5–7 depending on departure point. These companies provide reliable service, in stark contrast to the rogue drivers preying on unsuspecting passengers.
Impact on Albania’s Image!

Such cases are not just petty scams — they are serious blows to Albania’s reputation as a safe and welcoming destination. With tourism now a major part of the economy, incidents of exploitation risk discouraging visitors and damaging the country’s credibility as it seeks closer ties with the European Union.
“This behavior harms honest Albanians and undermines our European future. A few criminals are staining the work of thousands of loyal, law-abiding citizens,” said a spokesperson for Albanian World TV.
Call to Action: Report and Expose

Albanian World TV is calling on citizens and tourists alike to report any cases of overcharging, intimidation, or abuse.

How to protect yourself:

Confirm the fare in lek before boarding.

Note the bus plate number, company name, and driver ID if available.

Keep your ticket or receipt.

Record video or photos safely if misconduct occurs.

Send your evidence:
