Alright, folks, strap in. The Justice Department just did that thing where you check the pockets of your winter coat from last year, but instead of finding a twenty-dollar bill, they found highly explosive, missing FBI documents.
So, here is the setup. CNN does a little digging and realizes the DOJ’s massive online database of Jeffrey Epstein files is missing some homework. Specifically, the '302' memos—which is just FBI slang for 'what the witness told us.' So, the DOJ suddenly 'finds' and posts three missing interviews from an anonymous woman.
And guys, she is dropping absolute cinematic plot points. She tells the feds that decades ago, when she was around 13, Epstein flew her out and took her to a 'very tall building' in New York or New Jersey to meet Donald Trump. According to the memo, Trump clears the room and drops a line straight out of a terrible movie: 'Let me teach you how little girls are supposed to be.' He unzips his pants, forces her down, but plot twist—she tells the FBI she bit him! Trump allegedly hits her and yells, 'Get this little bitch the hell out of here!' But wait, there’s a B-plot! Later on, she casually claims she overheard Trump and Epstein chatting about blackmailing people and washing money through casinos. Just two billionaires doing regular billionaire watercooler talk! 'Hey Jeff, how was your weekend? Good, good. Hey, you still laundering through the slots?'
Naturally, the Trump camp is furiously denying this. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt came out swinging, calling the claims 100% baseless, citing the woman's criminal record. But Leavitt’s ultimate defense is hilarious. She basically says, 'Look, Joe Biden’s DOJ had these files for four years and did absolutely nothing.' Which... honestly? Fair point! If your political rival has the nuke to your reputation and just leaves it in their spam folder, either the evidence is garbage, or the government is just incredibly lazy!
And honestly, you can't blame the woman for giving up. She does four interviews with the FBI in 2019. By the fourth one, she shows up with no lawyer, looks at the agents, and basically goes, 'What's the point? The statute of limitations is up.' She ended up suing the Epstein estate as 'Jane Doe 4.' She didn't even name Trump in the lawsuit. Then she gets denied by the victim compensation fund, voluntarily drops the case... but somehow still walks away with a secret financial settlement from the estate later on. Make it make sense!
Meanwhile, the DOJ is out here apologizing because they messed up the redactions on the Epstein files. A senior official actually said, 'Normally in life, getting 99% of things right is pretty good.' Sir! One percent of 3 million documents is 30,000 mistakes! You accidentally un-redacted victims and posted photos! You’re the Department of Justice, not a clumsy intern at a gossip magazine!
And the grand finale to all of this? The DOJ confirms they currently have zero active investigations into anyone tied to Epstein. Trump even tried to get them to investigate Epstein’s ties to Democrats, and that went nowhere too. So after 3 million documents, missing files, and casino money-laundering gossip, the official United States government stance is just... (shrugs shoulders dramatically) 'Eh, what can ya do?'
