We’re starting a new series called Craft Talk! For September, we’re going to dive into what makes a good opening. ✍️

The two elements we want to focus on in the beginning of a novel are familiarizing the reader to the status quo and introducing the conflict of the novel. We’ve taken a closer look at a couple of books, including The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins!
