Most Amazing Woman

I recorded this six years ago.
It's the story of my son's birth. A home water birth I fought for fiercely while everyone around me said it was too risky, I was too old, I needed to be in the hospital.
I didn't listen to any of them.
What happened instead was the most extraordinary experience of my life. I entered a golden tunnel of light. I traveled through it for hours while my body did what it was designed to do without my interference. I went to the gates of life and came back with my son.
I call what I teach now Merkabirth, and this story is where it started.
I tell it differently now. I understand more of the science, the sacred geometry, the physics of what actually happens in a woman's body when she births in presence and trust. The re-telling is coming.
But this one, raw and five years ago, is where it began.

I want to tell you something about the day I gave birth.
I wasn’t in the room. Not really. I was in a tunnel of golden light, concentric rings of glowing, rotating gold, like a wormhole pulling me deeper and deeper inward. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I didn’t feel pain. I felt pulled. Pulled through.
That’s what happens when you trust your body enough to go all the way in.
Most of us spend our whole lives trying to manage what’s happening on the outside. We protect ourselves from feeling too much. We brace. We hold. We stay on the surface because the surface feels safe.
But the most powerful experiences of your life are not waiting for you out there. They are waiting for you inside.
I had spent a year before that birth protecting my mind fiercely. I slept with a positive birth affirmation recording in my ears. I cast out fear. I cast out anyone bringing negative energy. I chose, every single day, what got to live in my inner world.
That is emotional sovereignty. That is the work.
The benefit of doing this inner work isn’t just a calmer day or a better mood. It’s access to a version of yourself you haven’t met yet. A version that moves through the hardest moments as an observer, grounded, present, and completely trusting.
Your body knows what it’s doing. It was designed perfectly.
So were you.

I realized I didn’t have to find my way back. I was always there.
For a long time I was managing. Moving fast enough that I never had to feel anything that might slow me down. Smiling when I wasn’t feeling like it. It looked fine from the outside. It wasn’t fine.
Presence found me when I was no longer able to do. I only had to be. Meditation wasn’t a trend for me. It was the thing that cleared a path to a deeper understanding of life.
That’s my why. Every practice I share, everything I teach, it’s rooted in that.
Because I know what it costs to live disconnected from yourself and I know what lights up when you stop searching and just come home. It’s electric. It’s yours. It’s been there the whole time.
You are always there too.

I’m so tired of it all.
I said it out loud this week and I meant it. The practices, the check-ins with myself, the choosing differently when every part of me wanted to just react, or shut down, or disappear into whatever would make the noise stop for a minute.
I’m tired. But here’s the thing I can’t argue with… it’s working. My life looks different. The way I respond to things looks different. What I tolerate, what I walk away from, what I actually want, all of it is clearer now. Because I kept going even when it didn’t feel like anything was moving. It doesn’t always feel like growth while it’s happening. Sometimes it just feels like… tired!
If you’re tired too, I see you. You’re not doing it all wrong. You’re just in the middle of it.
Keep going.

I took the weekend off.
Not because everything was handled. Not because the list was done. Because I decided it was okay to just live in my days for a while.
That used to feel impossible for me. The guilt would creep in before I even got to enjoy the rest. I was so trained to be productive, to be useful, to be moving toward something, that doing nothing felt like failing.
The work I’ve done on myself changed that. The meditation, the presence practice, the slow unlearning of all the ways I outsourced my worth to my output. I’m still a work in progress, but I actually enjoyed my weekend. I was there for it.
That’s the whole thing, honestly. Being present for your own life. Not managing it, not optimizing it. Living it.
