🚀🌊 They’re back… after touching the edge of deep space

The crew of Artemis II has officially returned to Earth, completing a historic journey around the Moon. 🌕

After days in space and traveling hundreds of thousands of miles, the Orion spacecraft made a safe splashdown — bringing the astronauts home.

This mission marks the first crewed journey around the Moon in over 50 years, pushing humans farther into space than we’ve gone in decades.

From launch… to lunar flyby… to re-entry —

Every step brought humanity closer to the next era of exploration.

🌍 Now they’re home.

But this is just the beginning.

Next stop: returning humans to the Moon — and beyond. 🚀✨

Mosquitoes do more than just feed on blood. While biting, they quickly release waste from the blood they take in so they can stay light enough to fly. This process, known as excretion, can happen while they are still feeding or right after.
It allows them to concentrate the nutrients they need while getting rid of excess waste almost immediately, helping them take off without being weighed down.

Humans are going around the Moon again after more than 50+ years.
But this time, it’s not about landing.
Artemis II will send 4 astronauts on a 10 day journey around the Moon and back testing everything needed for future missions.
This mission will prove that humans can safely travel beyond Earth again.
The rocket is even more powerful than the one used in 1969.
And the crew marks a new step in history:
— the first woman
— the first person of color
— and the first non-American on a lunar mission
This isn’t just a mission…
it’s the beginning of a new era.
Because this time, we’re not just going to visit the Moon we’re preparing to stay.

A cyclone turned daylight into rust… 🌪️
In late March, Tropical Cyclone Narelle pushed massive amounts of iron-rich red dust across Denham in Shark Bay, Western Australia and for hours, the sky turned deep red.
It looked unreal… almost like a scene from a movie.
But this was completely real.
Here’s what actually happened:
Dry land + powerful cyclone winds + mineral-rich soil = dust lifted high into the sky.
That dust filtered the sunlight, blocking shorter wavelengths and letting red tones dominate turning the entire sky into a glowing red haze.
No filters. No edits. Just nature.
Sometimes, reality looks stranger than fiction.

Scientists have developed microscopic helix-shaped micromotors that can physically guide s***m cells toward an egg, offering a new approach to assisted fertilization.
These devices are part of a field known as biohybrid robotics, where living cells are combined with engineered structures. In this case, a tiny magnetic coil can attach to a s***m cell, help propel it through fluid, and be steered externally using magnetic fields.
This is especially useful for cases where s***m motility is low, one of the leading challenges in fertility treatments. The micromotor can assist movement and then release the s***m near the target, increasing the chances of successful fertilization.
While still in the research stage, this technology highlights how engineering and biology are beginning to merge in ways that could reshape future medical treatments.

It might sound surprising, but NASA only needs about 15 digits of pi for incredibly precise space calculations.
Pi is an infinite number, but in real world engineering, you only need enough precision to match the scale you are working with. Using just 15 digits of pi gives accuracy down to a fraction of a millimeter even when calculating distances the size of our solar system.
For context, that level of precision is enough to measure Earth sized distances with almost no error. Anything beyond that becomes mathematically interesting but practically unnecessary.
This is a perfect example of how science balances precision with efficiency. Even in something as complex as interplanetary travel, you only use as much accuracy as reality actually requires.
