He is 85 and maintains his practice of holding his spouse’s hand wherever they travel. When questioned why his spouse continued gazing elsewhere, he answered, “because she suffers from Alzheimer’s”. Then he was questioned, will your spouse become anxious if you release her hand? He then responded, ′′she recalls nothing, she doesn’t recognize who I am anymore, she hasn’t known me for years.” Astonished, I stated, “and you have persisted in guiding her every single day despite her inability to recognize you?” 💞
The aging man grinned and gazed into my eyes and stated, ′′she might not recognize who I am, but I recognize who she is, and she remains the love of my life..✍️❤️

They called her Miss Morgan
Miss Morgan stood merely five feet high, thin, simply clothed, and delicate in build. People remarked she possessed an almost religious appearance. She conversed quietly, but “when she issued commands, it was with the force of a Marine drill instructor.”
Miss Morgan was Julia Morgan, a designer. She completed her studies at the University of Berkeley in 1894 with a Civil Engineering qualification. She delayed two years for acceptance to the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris due to her s*x, ultimately becoming the initial woman to complete their program. She was additionally the initial woman licensed as a designer in California.
In 1904, Julia established her personal design practice, where she distributed earnings with her partners. Her profession spanned 42 years, throughout which she created roughly 790 structures, including the renowned Hearst Castle.

On the evening of September 5, 1942, the USS Gregory, a destroyer vessel, was hit and destroyed near Guadalcanal. Amid the fire, haze, and pandemonium, one seaman made a choice that would eternally represent genuine bravery.
His identity was Charles Jackson French, a 22-year-old galley worker. While survivors fled to refuge in the blackness, French noticed a lifeboat holding 15 severely injured soldiers. Yet the current was dragging them toward the enemy-held Japanese coastline, where imprisonment—or death—was certain.
During that instant, French did something incredible. He secured a line around his middle, dove into the predator-filled ocean, and started stroking. For hours—six to eight, precisely—he battled through fatigue, through dangerous waters, pulling the wounded soldiers to rescue.
At sunrise, French had transported them sufficiently from the coastline for Allied forces to locate them. His valor preserved those soldiers’ existence, yet his deeds didn’t reach the newspapers. In 1943, he received merely a commendation letter, no decoration, no recognition. During that period, Black champions were frequently ignored, their narratives excluded from historical records.
Still, Charles Jackson French’s bravery could never be eliminated. He swam through terror, through the murky ocean of history, and into the souls of those he rescued. He wasn’t merely a seaman. He was a champion.✍️❤️

On January 26, 1972, JAT Flight 367 detonated in midair when a briefcase explosive detonated onboard. The DC-9 crashed from 33,000 feet above Czechoslovakia. Among the 28 passengers aboard, just one lived: 22-year-old cabin crew member Vesna Vulović.
Hurled into the aircraft’s rear portion, Vesna landed on a snow-covered slope near Srbská Kamenice. A neighborhood resident, Bruno Honke, discovered her screams and hurried to assist her, maintaining her survival until rescue came.
Her wounds were devastating: a shattered skull, three damaged vertebrae, fractured legs, ribs, and pelvis. She entered a coma for 27 days and suffered through 16 months of painful recovery before she could walk once more.
Still, Vesna’s determination stayed intact. She not only healed, but she resumed employment with JAT Airlines, eventually accepting an office position. For enduring the greatest fall ever documented without a parachute, she received a Guinness World Record.
Vesna Vulović represented human courage and perseverance. Her experience demonstrates a profound lesson that, despite confronting the inconceivable, survival instincts can prevail.✍️❤️

On May 25, 1986, something extraordinary occurred. A peaceful Sunday morning in America transformed into a moment of connection and optimism that inspired millions. More than 6 million citizens throughout the nation created a human link that extended over 6,600 miles—from Manhattan to California’s shoreline. This remarkable event, named Hands Across America, was coordinated to generate awareness and donations for poverty and displacement.
For exactly 15 minutes, individuals from every background—pupils, elders, laborers, and famous figures like Michael Jackson and Oprah Winfrey—clasped hands, united in a demonstration of fellowship. The real wonder of this experience wasn’t found in celebrity participation, but in ordinary citizens who connected with each other—unknown faces, community members, and companions.
While certain sections remained incomplete or required ribbons to bridge distances, the intention remained unmistakable: empathy mattered more than flawless ex*****on.
This initiative generated over $34 million, with significant portions funding meal distribution centers and shelter initiatives. Yet the enduring influence transcended monetary contributions. It existed in the shared remembrance of experiencing nationwide mutual concern. Temporarily, America joined together and experienced genuine connection. It didn’t resolve all problems, but it revealed potential when humanity unites through compassion.✍

I wish more people realized that mourning isn’t simply feeling sorrow and shedding tears.
Mourning means experiencing rage, feeling empty, becoming shattered, and experiencing all emotions between.
Mourning affects everyone differently and you must simply navigate the experience and adapt to whatever comes.
While grieving someone’s death you mourn both past memories and future possibilities that vanished, mourning additionally strains your emotional and bodily wellness.
Mourning represents LOVE without direction.
Mourning means constantly telling yourself that “this pain will fade”
Mourning means pushing yourself from bed to bathe and nourish yourself.
Mourning means withdrawing from others.
Mourning means filling your space with companions and activities to occupy your mind away from truth.
Mourning appears harsh and difficult, so if you struggle to comprehend why individuals mourn with such intensity for extended periods consider yourself fortunate to lack that understanding.

"People of good conscience must stop the starvation in Gaza. There is no excuse for the world to stand by and watch two million human beings suffer on the brink of full-blown famine. This is a man-made crisis, and there are man-made solutions that could save lives today. A starving human being needs food today, not tomorrow..."

Occasionally we hold childhood pain regarding our parents.
They shouted. They didn’t consistently provide adequate attention. They smacked us on our heads. Failed to purchase the toy we desired. Argued before us. Perhaps they didn’t express “I love you” as frequently as we required — and certainly, a counselor can confirm: you received insufficient love.
But how would a counselor understand the specifics? The small moments we might not recall?
I remember returning home during college break with my eight-month-old baby. She slept poorly, awakening and screaming nightly. I’d grown accustomed to it. Hold her, comfort her, continue.
That initial evening, my father silently demonstrated a “life hack,” as everyone calls it today. He retrieved a carpet and cushion, positioned them beside the infant’s bed, and explained:
“We’ll alternate sleeping directly here on the ground. It’s simpler. You won’t need to leap from bed constantly. Or perhaps I’ll handle it alone. It benefits my spine regardless.”
Then he naturally mentioned: “I actually rested this way for twelve months when you were small. Your mother attended medical school full-time, I worked at the mental health facility and covered ambulance duties. And nightly I rested on the ground beside your bed. Simpler to rise quickly when you wailed. More secure that way.”
I remained unaware. He never mentioned it. Nobody informed me. He didn’t proclaim his affection, didn’t deliver speeches, didn’t announce: I never rested! I surrendered everything for you!
He simply… rested on the ground. And prepared to repeat it for his grandchild. Because in his thinking, what alternative existed? That represented love.
Not every parent verbalized, “I love you.” Previously, it wasn’t customary. Instead, they demonstrated it through specifics: preserving the finest food portion for us, spending their final money on quality footwear, rushing out midnight for medication, staying awake through illness, resting on carpet beside the bed.
So certainly, if a counselor can assist our healing, that’s beneficial. But otherwise, perhaps we should recall the small moments before determining we “received insufficient love.”
Because love frequently exists in specifics — the type we don’t always recognize, or even recall.

He discovered her by the park, wandering without purpose, fur tangled and gaze filled with confusion. She wore no collar, no identification
-simply a soft, peaceful manner of observing people that conveyed,
“Please notice me.” So he did. Believing he was merely assisting a stray dog locate her home, he gathered her up and transported her to the facility.
He completed the documentation, gave her several gentle touches on her head, and departed. But something seemed…incomplete. That evening, her image kept returning to his thoughts. How she pressed against his palm. How her tail paused, then moved.
He convinced himself someone would claim her. A household. A companion. Somebody. But when he phoned several days afterward, she remained there-hoping. And during that realization, he understood: she wasn’t missing anymore. She had already discovered her human.
When her waiting period concluded, he came back. Not as a helpful stranger, but as her owner. The instant she spotted him once more, she brightened-tail beating, gaze shining, as if she’d been expecting him all along.
Currently, she rests nestled at his bed’s end, accompanies him throughout the house, and shows him daily: certain spirits are destined to discover each other. He believed he was assisting a stray dog. But actually, she was the one who saved him.

Eventually your mama will stop phoning you completely.
Eventually you will crave additional time to experience existence alongside her.
Eventually she’ll cease chuckling at your playful wit.
Eventually she’ll cease providing you the wisdom she considers helpful for you.
Eventually you will find the residence where she constantly waited for you with steaming coffee prepared upon arrival, deserted.
Eventually her voice will stop resonating.
Eventually, only reminiscences will survive.
Time rushes forward and stops for nothing and nobody.
And in that instant, you will feel a hollowness so tremendous that nothing and nobody can satisfy!
