This is by far the best northern lights show I have seen. After pushing our limits in -28 or below (stopped checking after one point) and getting frostbite on our cheeks and hands, I would say TOTALLY WORTH IT. Why? We saw the green and red burst and dance around for 30 mins. There are many levels of intensity with Aurora Borealis and sometimes it only gets captured in the camera and looks grey to the naked eye. So don’t get disheartened, this is something you can’t predict. The first time I experienced the lights was in Norway and I got lucky to see the green, but that was 1 out of the 3 trips I booked.
This one just stole the show and is forever etched in my memory.
