In the growth mindset, it is the opposite. The growth mindset is based on the belief that people can cultivate their qualities. Where people right now do not define where they will end up. Although they have initial talent, interests, temperaments, they can learn, grow, and stretch their qualities through effort, experience, and application. Failure does not define them. It is part of the process and opportunity for them to learn and grow. They feel distressed about failure as well, but they still face challenges, take risks, and work for their goals. It is not about being perfect now but about progress. The effort feels invaluable and challenges feel exciting, as they are tools for development.
So why am I telling you all this about mindsets?
Because our mindset is so important in creating our perception.
Because our beliefs are coming from our mindset. If we change our mindset, we can change our core beliefs about concepts such as success, failure, challenges, and effort. If we change our beliefs, we change our attitude about the events in our life. If we change our attitude, we can change our actions and behaviors. If we change our actions and behaviors, we change our life because our life is made up of all small actions combined.
We create the future by choosing what we do now…….
