এক জনের সাথে আরেক জনের বাক্যালাপের মধ্য দিয়ে যে যোগাযোগ স্থাপন হয় আমার ছেলের সে ক্ষমতা একেবারেই নেই বললেই চলে। এমন কি চোখাচোখি বা চোখে চোখ রেখে যে সংযোগ, যোগাযোগ, সেখানেও ভীষণ রকমের দূর্বলতা ওর। ওর ইচ্ছে হলে কথা কপি বা রিপিট করে মাঝে মধ্যে ( যা কিনা ঈদের চাঁদের মত হয়ে থাকে)।
সকালে ঘুম ভাঙ্গার পর আমি ওকে বুকে জড়িয়ে থাকি আর ছেলে আমার, তা খুব করে এনজয় করে।হঠাৎ করে কোনো কোনো দিন বুকে লেপ্টে থেকে বাবার মত ছড়া বলে “তাই তাই তাই, মামা বাড়ি যাই………”
My son can hardly communicate with others through conversation. He also struggles a lot with eye contact or connecting by looking into someone’s eyes. Once in a while, if he feels like it, he repeats or copies words, but that’s rare, like spotting the Eid moon.
In the mornings, when he wakes up, I hold him close, and he really enjoys that. Sometimes, out of the blue, while clinging to me, he’ll start chanting like a little rhyme: “Tai tai tai, let’s go to uncle’s house…”
