I was in 5th grade when 9/11 happened ..my mom & grandma pulled me & my brothers out of school. We watched the towers fall with our own eyes & it’s a day that forever changed my life.
It filled me with a lot of anxiety at a young age especially when I smelled fires but I also think living through something like that built me a little different. I’ll always thank God that everyone I knew made it home safe that day, because so many people around us lost loved ones.
Seeing the lives lost, the fear, confusion & chaos in the streets is something I’ll never forget. 25 years later, that day still stays with me
