I was riding in an Uber to the Documentary Emmys when I got a news flash that
Bill Moyers had died. I stared out the window watching the bustling New Yorkers on 6th
Ave. Another day in the city, yet something profound had happened. We lost a giant.
A man who touched so many including me. I met Bill when I was 22 years old in 1974
and the last time I spoke to him was last summer when we were discussing an election
special that would make the case against Trump. Bill was always working to make America a better nation. His legacy as a journalist, filmmaker, a mentor, a mensch is unrivaled. He is a true American hero. Rest in Peace Bill you did your work and now it rests on our shoulders to carry on.
