This week on Recess Therapy, we hit NYC parks to talk with kids about nature, trees, and why our city’s green spaces matter. These kids have a lot to say on their love for the parks, what makes nature beautiful and to never forget to just stop and smell the roses!

Parks have been the heart of Recess Therapy since day one—they’ve been our backdrop and our inspiration for the past four years. We believe every New Yorker deserves access to safe, clean, and beautiful green spaces.

Right now, NYC’s parks are at risk. Budget cuts have led to job losses, program closures, and unsafe conditions across the city. We’re joining New Yorkers for Parks and the Play Fair for Parks coalition to call on Mayor Adams to fully fund our parks and keep these essential spaces thriving.
