D.W. Brown is an actor, writer, director, and owner and head teacher of The Baron Brown Studio in Santa Monica, CA. He has taught the Meisner Technique, scene study, acting for the camera, for over 30 years and given workshops internationally in France, Ireland, Denmark, Rome, Israel, England, and Japan.

He is the writer/director of the feature film On the Inside (starring Olivia Wilde and Nick Stahl), and the short films One Clean Move with Harry Hamlin and Chloe with Peter Facinelli.

Mr Brown is also a playwright and stage director of works such as Fleas starring Jon Gries and Little Charlie a modern andaptation of Ibsen’s Little Eyolf. Other works he’s directed include Home Free with Jamie Kennedy, and P***o Stars At Home.

He is a member of the Ensemble Studio Theater where many of his works have been performed.

DW Brown has created directed, and produced several improvisational (Meisner technique) series and films- including the web series Joanne Brown Is Here with Jeff Goldblum, Robin Wright, and Justin Chon, and the feature films Perfume with Leslie Mann and Allie And Me with Lanie Kazan and Dyan Cannon.

As an actor D.W. starred in the iconic film Fast Times At Ridgemont High and the cult classic Mischief. His series work includes Joes Cousin and Sledgehammer.

Mr. Brown is also an author of the acclaimed acting guide “You Can Act” and a second book, “You Can Act On Camera”. His third book is “2500 Years of Wisdom: Sayings of the Great Masters.”

He has moderated Q and A’s with guest speakers William Esper, Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Sean Penn, Robin Wright, Halle Berry, Dustin Hoffman, Robert DeNiro, Sydney Pollack, John Patrick Shanley, David Mamet and many other luminaries.

Hurray! Roy visited Jane at . We sure had fun making the rounds last weekend- including meetups at and . Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate the journey. It’s so great to be a bi-coastal self-tape company and have our SkyTown family continue to grow.
