Surviving in Montanas heat wave, our RV ACs hate us. Any tips to keep cool?

I’m turning 68 next month… and for the first time in a long time, I’m learning how to live for me. 🌿
After 8 years of pouring my heart into volunteer work — and after losing my mother, my sister, and then my brother I finally realized something…
I’d spent so many years taking care of everyone else that I forgot what it felt like to make myself happy.
So, I did something brave.
I bought a little Winnebago Micro Minnie and hit the road just me, my coffee, and quiet mornings surrounded by trees. 🌲
Two solo trips so far… and each one has felt like a deep breath I didn’t know I needed.
But lately, I’ve been thinking ahead.
Someday soon, I might not be able to climb the roof to check the caulk, or crawl under the rig to pull the tank handles, or lift those heavy sway bars.
And that’s okay.
Because this journey has already given me more life than I thought I had left. ❤️
Still, I’d love to hear from other ladies who’ve walked this road
When the time comes to make things a little easier physically… what did you switch to?
I’m not ready to stop exploring, just ready to be a little kinder to my body.

Soooo… I’m a 73-year-old single lady who just bought an RV so I can live in it and travel for work when I need to.
I test drove it once. For 15 minutes.
It’s a 2018 Class C Sunseeker. Two slides.
And my FIRST trip?
Wait for it… Cleveland, Ohio to Asheville, NC.
Over 500 miles. Alone.
Construction.
Rain (my wipers SUCK — changing those ASAP).
And 350 miles in the first day.
I stop at Cracker Barrel for the night.
It starts raining cats and dogs… and my vent above the bed starts LEAKING.
I literally bought this RV the DAY BEFORE.
Nothing I could do. Towels on the bed. Deal with it later.
Next day I make it to my destination, go to a birthday party, and later decide to head to another Cracker Barrel to park.
I Google the lot… WAY too small. No way I’m getting in there with my rig towing my car.
So I check RV Parky. Find a rest area nearby.
Full.
Next exit. Gas station. I pull in… and realize it’s NOT pull-through.
OMG.
It’s 10 PM.
It’s raining.
And I CANNOT back up with the car attached.
I saw a guy hook it up once. I even recorded him doing it.
I cried for 5 minutes.
Then I said out loud:
“I’m a bad ass bitch. I can do this.”
No one is coming to help me. It’s just me.
So I got out and got to work.
Unhooked the car.
Parked it.
And then had to back up a 33-foot RV… that I have NEVER backed up before.
Not only did I back it up… I backed it past an entire semi truck and trailer into a different lot under the lights so I could reattach my car.
Those arms have to line up perfectly to get the pins in.
Took several tries.
In and out. Back and forth.
But after 10 minutes… I got it.
Then cables.
Then brake system recalibration.
In horrible lighting.
In the rain.
Moment of truth.
Back on the road. Backup camera on. Heart pounding.
Made it to another rest stop. Found a spot. Laid down.
Couldn’t sleep. I was so jazzed from what I just did.
Pretty damned proud of myself.
If you’re waiting to do something because you’re scared…
DO IT ANYWAY.
Age is not the limit. Fear is.
