New name alert ✨
Story time! I entered the wedding industry in 2018, but really got my start in 2021 when I officially formed AKAM Productions. I did so with the desire to do more for my own clients, and as I did, I saw my style evolve.
I no longer asked mom to zipper the dress twice for better lighting. I avoided overstepping to direct clients during their photo session. I prioritized capturing grandma seeing her first grandson, all dressed up. I realized that letting these moments unfold naturally is what really told their stories best. After years of finding my style, I’m so proud of where I’ve landed.
This name change comes with a simpler touch. “films” rather than “productions” - because your day should not be a production after all.
I made my new website myself which was a labor of love, and even included my own hand drawn elements! My beautiful mom drew my logo (a lot of times, until we got the right one), and going through my recent work to build it was so gratifying. It goes deeper than the weddings. This business I started has allowed me to meet so many awesome people, and witness some of the most beautiful, heartfelt moments. I’m looking forward to seeing what lies ahead for akam films 🫶🏼
TLDR: new name, new website, I made it, my mom made my new logo, I love my what I do!!
