Noticed this stain. Doesn't wipe off on my hand. Feels smooth. Seems to have gotten bigger. Roof is about 7 years old. Shingles above the skylight is slightly raised.

Had a brand new standing seam metal roof installed. There are white spotty areas around the chimney (stucco repair wss done before any panels were installed not after) . The roofers tried washing it to no avail. There is not a chalky residue when you touch it. Any ideas what this could be? Will this be a future problem?

Good ole Traveler’s Adjuster denied this roof today. Paid for hail damaged facia and garage metal wrap but claims that the damage to the roof is wear and tear/blistering. 🤦🏼‍♂️🤬😂😡 This guy needs to find another career.

(Update) Roofers came back and fixed the roof
Amazing news! Apparently, the person who fixed my Dad's roof saw my Reddit post (linked above) and all of the comments. He offered to come fix the roof. Can you believe it?! And here is the end result. Looks amazing (Dad took this photo so sorry for the lack of zoom). Sharing the original photo for comparison. Massive improvement.

New owner, allegedly metal roof, super slick
Tried getting on our new roof to clear off the gutter screens and even with my highest grip shoes, it's slick as heck and I don't feel like falling 2 stories. It's allegedly a metal roof but these tiles almost feel like thick vinyl. Any tips on how to get up here safely and general maintenance tips?
