Staten Island Community Television (SICTV), now Community Media of Staten Island(CMSI) was founded in 1983 as a result of a franchise agreement between the city of New York and Staten Island Cable (now Spectrum). Permanently opened in 1988, CMSI is organized as a not-for-profit corporation under IRS Code 501C3 and currently has a board of directors appointed by the Borough President of Staten Island.

Borough President Vito J. Fossella will lead the annual 9/11 ceremony at the Postcards Memorial, overlooking the New York City skyline.

CMSI will broadcast on Channel 34 – Spectrum & Verizon, and stream it live on our free CMSI app.

Tomorrow, we invite you to join for a solemn ceremony at the Postcards Memorial, a quiet spot that looks toward the NYC skyline. The ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m.

It is a reflective moment to pay tribute to those we lost on 9/11 and to the First
Responders we have lost in the years since because of their work at Ground Zero.

The observance will feature the reciting of the names.

Enter from Richmond Terrace at Hamilton Avenue or the Staten Island University Hospital Community Park. Parking is available at Empire Outlets at Wall Street.
